But happily ever after may go up in smoke when Jane discovers a love letter to Gallant from a woman from his past--Princess Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty.

Jane becomes obsessed with her prince’s affair. As she gathers evidence, she gets disturbing news that will change her life forever and makes a shocking discovery that threatens both her life and Gallant’s.

'Unhitched' is the second part in the story of the evil queen from snow white. Jane Yvel realised the error of her evil ways in the first book, fell for Prince Gallant and married him. Now it seems the Prince might still have feelings for a beautiful ex-girlfriend.

I bought this right after I read the first book because 'Dewitched' was just so brilliant I knew I had to read more about this reformed evil queen. I still think she's a great character and I enjoyed the other characters again also, but the story this time around didn't have as much sparkle to it. I think this was mainly because there wasn't as much humour so it just wasn't as entertaining as the first book. Jane really becomes obsessed and there aren't many lighter moments as she becomes so absorbed in her own pain over the possibility that her husband may be cheating on her.

The characters are great though and the story wasn't bad, it just would have benefited from a few more lighter moments to keep up a similar tone to the first book. I will definitely read the next book when it comes out as it was an enjoyable read and I'm intrigued to see what comes next for Jane and her friends.

Overall a good continuation in the unique and unpredictable story of an evil queen. Recommended to fans of fairy tales and romance.

I'm sorry, but I seriously hated this book so much. The entire book would be 10 pages long if she just talked to her husband, which is evident immediately. The plot is basically just a paranoid woman making things up in her own head while ignoring obvious signs and the advice of all of her friends and therapist. She's whiny, obnoxious, and oblivious. The two "twists" were painfully clear by the time I was 10% through, which is about 9% farther than my interest in this story took me. I finished the book, but I wish I hadn't because it was a waste of time. I need something else fast to get this prattling shrew out of my head.

What happens AFTER the fairytale ending? The story continues a bit like an overdose of fables. But we learn that you can't always get what you want, and be careful what you aim at. A bit preachy on one-liners fix all, this book is a really good second chapter in the story of Jane and Gallant and the various fairy story characters most of us grew up with. Book Three should be wonderful

I am really enjoying this version of Snow White's evil step-mother. A bit too much cursing for me, but a cute story.

In my opinion this book was much better than the first Dewitched. I enjoyed reading Jane's journey to being good. This storyline is intriguing in that you see a side to villains not usually explored. Jane's fight to stay away from evil is humorous and sad at the same time. I felt her struggle to stay away from evil. E.L. Sarnoff did a good job of tying up loose ends. Even with this being a fairy tale it dealt with real issues. My biggest complaint is that the final battle was a little to drawn out for me. In my opinion if you read Dewitched then take a look, I think it was worth it. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Not as good as the first

The first book, Dewitched, was really good and kept me wanting to keep reading. And the second, while still good and continuing the story, lost a lot of the fun of the first. Instead of a strong character that you really liked as in the first book, instead the protagonist, Jane is turned into a whining, shallow, bore. The only reason why I kept reading was to figure out what actually was going on and while the main character failed, the side characters blossomed into fuller rolls, becoming more interesting along the way, such as Gothel.

A little too long

In this story, Jane is certain her prince is having an affair. She collects evidence until she plans to confront him. The book is written with delightfully humor. Just remember, this is a fairytale

This was a very enjoyable read. Even though Jane can be a little self-centered, she also has heart, and there was a lot of character growth which I love as well.

An okay follow-up to the first book. It's extremely repetitive and so easy to figure out what's happening almost immediately. Protagonist Jane spends like 85% of the book crying and literally vomiting, after several people encourage her to actually confront her husband she... doesn't. Until the very end. But nobody including her therapist seems to care that she's literally making no effort?

The not-really subplots with Calla go nowhere - she for some reason is in love with a frog and has a massive melt down when the frog escapes to mate with a frog, and a character suggests her overreaction is actually symptomatic of some bigger issue Calla is having. This is never addressed again. So why was Calla freaking out so much over a frog??? We never find out. I thought it was going to lead to a heart-to-heart between Jane and Calla where Calla reveals she feels abandoned by her father (who's busy with his gallery opening), but nope. Never comes up again.

There's a recurring piece of advice that's basically "just because Person A cheated on Person B doesn't mean Person A doesn't still love Person B, so Person B should forgive Person A" which is really weird that it came up so many times, with no nuance? There's no like "Oh yeah he forgave me for cheating on him, but I had to work for years to re-earn his trust." It's just "Yeah I was forgiven for cheating and it's fine now, so you should forgive YOUR husband for cheating on you." It was just weird and made me uncomfortable with how many characters were apparently totally fine with cheating/being cheated on?

Jane resolves to Finally Do Something what feels like 75 times, and it gets so annoying. Also annoying is how much of this book is just a recap of fairy tales. Gothel spends like two pages describing the plot of Rapunzel for some reason.

And...

I really enjoyed the first book, but the sequel is just... not it. I didn't hate it, but I don't think I'll ever reread it. I'd love to see like a "director's cut" of the sequel, though. The storyline is okay and the characters are good, it's like the book just needs something to be as great as the first one.

A welcome sequel, though I was hesitant to read because of my love of Sleeping Beauty and how the majority of the summary and most of the book made her character out to be.

I was not disappointed however... True love really did win out in the end.

As with the first book there are slight grammar/editing issues, but it does not take away from the essence of the story.

Absolutely loved, and highly recommend.

Not a great sequel, still an ok ending though

I was a bit underwhelmed with this one. I think that Jane was such a strong character but she became moody and uninteresting. I really disliked that she turned into a whiny housewife. Yet, something kept me reading... It's worth finishing just to see if a former Evil Queen can get a happily ever after, but it certainly was not as good as the first book.

Unhitched is a sequel to Dewitched, a revised story of the Evil Queen. It was as cute as the previous story. Just a fun, easy read brought to you by your favorite fairy tale characters. I really liked the pace of E.L. Sarnoff's writing and will continue to look forward to her stories.

Another winner!

I recommend this book to anyone who loves fairytales with a twist. E.L. did just as good with the second book. I am definitely looking forward to more from this creative author.
