Ten short stories and five other novels followed suit.
An alumna of Rizal Science High School, she also graduated from the University of the Philippines, Diliman with the course Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics. Both schools were prominent settings in most of her works.
Ever since her younger years, she would always go for ice cream, frappes, and rock music. Nowadays, she fancies more creative pursuits such as adding more stories and poems to her repertoire, blogging, playing the guitar, composing songs, singing for a band, and image and video editing.

I have a guy friend who secretly but not discreetly likes me, and when I came across this book, I couldn't help but buy it in an effort to figure out what to do with my friend. This book would’ve been good whether Xeira ended up with Kyle or Chris. I’m sure there would’ve been an explanation for either, so there’s really no way this book could turn out bad.
As with Wattpad stories, this didn’t dwell much on anything except for the dialogues. I found it weird how the characters suddenly leave at some point without saying goodbye. I deal with that almost everyday of my life, but I guess I’m just not used to seeing that in books. Also, the reactions of the people in this book were kind of unrealistic, especially with how understanding they were. I guess that’s just another thing I don’t experience in real life, but people have feelings too! They can’t possibly get over things like that in such a short period of time!
Well anyway, I found this book a really fun and easy read, so you should go ahead and check it out. It does have scenes in it where the characters are singing, so it would be nice if you knew the songs. I only knew two of them and I sang it in my head as I read the lyrics, making the reading experience much more fun. In all honesty, I wouldn’t have guessed the book had a slight inclination towards music from the cover or from the blurb, but it was a nice surprise.

To be honest, I CRIED....I don't know why... I mean light lang naman ung story nya...and super nakakarelate ako....pero nung naghiwalay sila then after 6 long years mahal pa rin nila isa't isa...dun na ko umiyak...Siguro dahil sobrang tagal nun kaya kung magkakatuluyan pa sila...true love nga talaga yun...ewan ko ba...gustung gusto ko tong book na toh...at masaya ako at ung orig ang nabasa ko at hindi ung published... :)) I ABSOLUTELY LOVED AND STILL LOVING IT!!!! :)))

STOP. This is like my best friend's story and don't get me wrong, being Xei's best friend would suck. The whole process of the story repeats and it lacks description of surroundings and the plot is not worth reading for. Honestly as an avid reader of books this is like the worst book plot that I have ever read. Too cheesy and too usual and predictable.

Isa lang ang masasabi ko sa librong ito. WOW. Sobrang wow kasi bihira nalang ako makakita ng mga ganitong kind ng story. Yung tipong pinag-isipan at pinag-gugulan ng oras. Yung tipo ng story na kumpleto. Hindi lang siya nagfofocus sa "love" lang. Itong story na 'to also tackles friendship, relatioship between family, and self confidence... Kumbaga sa systems of the body, may skeletal system siya... may foundation yung story. Napag-isipan ng maayos. May muscular system siya, ibigsabihin, may laman yung story. Di lang siya basta basta wattpad story lang, di siya ordinary. Kasi nga sabi na rin ni Ate Peach, yung ibang scenes dito, nangyari sa totoong buhay kaya may hugot... May nervous system siya, meaning may flow yung story. Maayos yung flow ng story. Hindi binasta basta...
Sa dinami-dami na rin siguro ng mga nabasa ko, kaya namanangha ako kapag nakakakita ako ng mga ganitong story sa Wattpad. Unique siya in its own way. Nabigyan ng justice yung title. Hindi taliwas yung title sa story (marami na kasing ganon ngayon).
Ayun, sobrang na-enjoy ko yung story ni Xei at ni Kai. Nagustuhan ko yung relationship ni Xei sa friends niya. Nakita ko rin yung pagmamature nung mga character, lalo na kay Xei. Tsaka yung relationship ni Xei sa family niya, lalo na kay Rai.

548 Heartbeats is a very nice book! I am not that interested in wattpad or whatsoever but then this book is so wonderful that I can even put myself in the story. The story is not that usual as other books I've read. "And our story's about to end, even though it never really began." Oh crap! That line caught me hard to the point that I even posted it in my timeline hahaha. All in all, the book deserves a recommendation to those people who have their complicated love life and to those who experienced and experiencing friend zone lol. Special thanks to the author, Ms. A, you did a great job. Goodluck on your other books. love lots <3<3

Thoughts:
I read this book when I was still in high school. I can't remember what I like or dislike about the story but I can remember how it made me feel. Wattpad was trending back then so I gave it a try and I think this is the first Wattpad story I've read. It felt like I was reading stories from other high school that was close in my area. It made me feel that my high school (the system of the school) is boring. It entertained me like how a supposedly-kilig-gossip should feel. It felt very "kilig" and mundane at the same time and that's all about it.

It was an easy read when I was in High School, and I loved everything: from Xei's kilig feels that everyone of us can easily relate to, to the heartbreaking moments of having a crush on someone who doesn't feel the same.
It's quite frustrating (and quite satisfying) to realize that not all of them are perfect---especially Kyle, who I realized during my re-read is a real asshole to Rai and Xei :(

Actually, this is the first wattpad books I've read when I was 2nd-year high school or 3rd-year yaaaa i don't remember. And I never forget the time when I misplace this book because i let my friend borrow it and then boom** wala nang bumalik sa akin. but, my bff buy me a new one.

Read this at middle school when phones with keypad were still a trend lmao. One of first stories I've read that lead me to exploring other books and this makes me realize how a lot of things had changed for this past few years. Hope I can reread it soon.

The summary at the back of the book is well written and got me really excited. But the moment I dived into the story, I got disappointed big time. I don't know what pushed to me finish it anyway. Haha

the book is nicely done. it's interesting and the language is understandable. some said that it's not satisfying enough but for me the book is good.

The title is kind of tricky. It makes me think at first that it has 548 heartbeats in the entire story, literally. So I actually counted it. But then I realized that it wasn't like that when I reached a hundred. So stupid of me! haha
This story reminds me of myself. Like I am Xeira, I have lots of crushes every year and like Xei I keep it for myself (but a few are exposed xD). Though I don't have any experience of romantic love, I'm really into it like I'm a love expert. By just reading it, I feel the pain, the joy, the sadness, the anger, the jealousy, and everything else like I'm one of the characters.
My favorite part of the story is the competition. It is the part when Kyle sang "Lips of an Angel" which is one of my favorite songs. And for the first time since I knew that song, I finally got the real story of it (They cut some parts in book so it's not there but you can read it ebook if you have the original copy).
Anyway, the entire story is good, but as an avid wattpad reader, I think the writing of the plot is not that good, it has parts of it that was actually unnecessary to be written and has some parts the was removed from the original. So, it was kind of unfathomable. All in all, I'm still giving this story 4 stars. Good job Ms. A! Fighting! 548!

i infenitely LOVE this book!!! actually i really dont have the intention to read this cause its tagalog. sorry but am not fan of tagalog books and the worst part is.. i am a filipina!! hahaha but this story changed by views :D i got intrigued when my friend told me how nice this was and boom!! (lol.) i really fell in love with it (apil npud kai kyle and Chris <3), credits to Pan2 and moma Gin. whats cool in this story is that it happens in reality, the crush thingy. "Dubdub. Dubdub." ill probably read his again and again :) you'll laugh and you'll definitely cry and cry even harder. this is a MUST READ STORY :) and you know what? HAHAHA i just realized, crush ko pala dati bf ko ngayon, way back when we were still toddlers :D relate much? d namn maxado :P hope happy ending din, like Kyle and Xei <3

reading this story again after a couple of years brought back so many feelings—like a trip down memory lane in high school. the kilig, the cringe fest, the emo moments, the friendly barkada banter; all packed in one. everything about this book and the characters—xeira, kyle, chris, marj, rai—was so nostalgic and i felt like my high school self again while re-reading; it was such a joy to experience that version of myself once more through this.(kaya siguro ako naiyak while re-reading kahit na lighthearted naman ang story).
also, the book cover? the art between the pages? the special chapters with the POVs from the other characters? ang ganda. kudos sa'yo for this anniversary edition, ate peach! here's to more published works for you in the future <3

hmmm..
I have to admit that I really like the first phase of the story.
But ever since that super awesome DENSE guy named, KYLE revealed to Xei
the one he loves is "her", I got really pissed! OOoo(>_<)ooOO
I want to strangle him and make him realize his true feelings. He shouldn't have done those "cheesy and romantic" moves towards Xei if his intention is not to be with her. I feel so sorry for Xei but saluting her for bearing the pain he brought on her.
I've never met any guy as dense as him,, he's one step to being an idiot (sorry for the term). I'm just so affected by the flow of the story and his character gets under my skin.
Thank God for the ending.. :D It made me satisfied and definitely happy!

Typical high school love story plus annoying character na si Kyle. Masyado lang ako nabibilisan sa pagkukwento. Kaya habang nagbabasa, parang nagmamadali din ako. I even skipped some pages and chapters dahil gusto ko na malaman ang ending though nakikinikinita ko na rin naman kung ano ang kahahantungan ng story. When I read, I tend to imagine the face ng characters, 'yung setting ng place, 'yung feeling ng moment na 'yun. but on this one, wala akong maimagine. Kaya ko nasabing nabibilisan ako.
But then it was still a good read para sa isang tao na namimis kiligin at gusto mag-reminisce ng high school moments.

If Goodreads would let me rate it -1, i would have done it. Why?
First of all, i wouldn't want the main character Xei Anderson to be near me. Her stupidity suffocates me. She is described as 'intelligent' for being in Section 1, but she isn't. Not when she's going after her best friend's boyfriend. True, her 'best friend Rai' and 'the love of her life' Kyle aren't serious. Kyle luvs Xei. Xei luvs Kyle. Obviously. And poor confused Xei has no clue.
I thought Xei would have empowering girl-girl friendships throughout this book. After all, Rai was decreased to a bitchy best friend who gets in the way of her Prince Charming!

My friend recommended me this book, saying that it was good. Much to my dismay, this one is so typical that I can't wait to reach the end and hide it somewhere. The story was too fast-paced that it didn't made me think or feel anything at all, which is very bad because this is supposed to be a "romance" story. The characters are so annoying, save to Marj that was overshadowed by everyone. I could really love this book as I can relate to the protagonist so much; but this is not a good book at all.

Naalala ko pa nung ni-recommend 'to sakin ng friend ko. Noong una medyo mabagal ang pace pero I still can't stop reading. Maganda siya. Akala ko talaga di ko matitripan yung story pero Boy, I was wrong. Hahaha. Yung feeling na sana ganito yung nangyari sayo noong nasa HS ka pa ?! Life oh so unfair. Haha.
True to life pala yung story na 548 heartbeats sa Wattpad. Huhu. Ang ganda talaga ng story nila, nakakainggit. Hahaha.

This is the first wattpad published book that I have rated with five stars. I really really love the story. Nakarelate talaga ako. I hate Kyle because he's so torpe but I also love him because he's so loving in his very own way. hahaha.
The story is really narrated very well plus the title was really "pinag-isipan". I love the fact that it made me feel how it feels to be in love. Yea!
