Rate this book
I’ll Be With You Forever is a coming of age story about two best friends, Bella and Cole, whose relationship is tested by an unexpected attraction to each other that develops through their friendship.

Once Cole’s feelings for Bella begin to form, it is a constant struggle for him to keep them at bay. He fears that she sees him only as her friend. And obviously, Cole doesn’t want to ruin their relationship by declaring his love for her, only to be rejected romantically.
Bella, unaware of what Cole is going through, is fighting battles of her own in the form of an alcoholic father, dead mother and abusive boyfriend. Eventually the two friends realize their true feelings for each other, but their budding romance is challenged by circumstances beyond their control.

Emotionally draining and tear jerking. Love my HEA as I read fiction to escape reality. Good read though.

Oh my word!

Admittedly I thought it was a little slow at the start, and was not sure what the relationship between Bella and Cole was? It did not come through as just friends, although that's what it was, until they both started having deeper feelings for each other.

They had been friends for years, best friends in the final year at school. Cole was the sensible, strong one, looking out for Bella, she lost her mom a year before, and was having a hard time coming to terms with her loss, Cole did his best to help her get through it. Supporting her through life's ups and downs, including helping her through a disastrous relationship with Derrick. He was good for one thing, he did make Cole and Bella realise their true feelings for each other.

Bella finds her dad collapsed drunk, she fears for the worse! fortunately he makes it. Him and Bella begin to get their lives turned around.

They get on with their lives and another meeting with Derrick, makes Bella stand up to him, things tick along nicely, then Bella runs into Derrick, who totally manipulates her by claiming to be her friend, Cole knows and has known from the start that Bella is hiding her friendship with Derrick, Cole catches them together, but Bella decides that although she loves Cole she doesn't trust herself, in turn Color thinks she doesn't trust him. They separate, and are both really unhappy and miserable, after a few weeks or so of avoidance, they have a brief encounter but Bella is still running. She decides to shock herself and everyone else and gets inked. At the same time Color decided that it was time to get back together, which they do! Really pleased, I wasn't expecting the cruel twist, with a huge lump in my throat, and tears in my eyes, what a really horrible scene, she sees it all. Heartbroken, sad and very lonely she tries to go on, Daddy trys to help, until she finds out she has a reason to live ! No HEA, but a really lovely story.

Ok, this book started off with Cole & Bella being best friends since childhood. Who knew they'd fall for each other?! Oh that right, us, we knew because of all the italic that told us what each character was thinking! That really wound me up. Also, for such great friends, there was no weird 'I'm snogging my mate here' or 'my best friend is groping my boon' oh no, they slipped from best buds to f&@k buds without a hitch! I found that hard to believe. The other annoying thing was that Bella loved Cole soooooo much, she had to let him go whilst she found out how to be strong? Really?! What a load of shit! If you love someone and thay love you, you are together, the end! To say that they had been friends forever and had seen each other every day all their lives, I'm sure it would've been impossible to live without each other for the time they were apart. When they eventually did get it back together BOOM, Cole gets hit by a car and dies. The end. Or actually not the end as the time Bella lost her vaginity she ended up up the stick! How unlucky is that?! Or lucky in Bella's case as she now has something to remember Cole by- so all is well!! WHAT?! You best friend/cherry popper/boyfriend just died!!!! Oh god! This just didn't work for me- can you tell?! Maybe it's because I like happy endings.

Nahhhhhh an emotionally charged love story of a love that was born, best friends, two hearts of the same person. Friends, soul-mates loving & growing up together going through hardships of life, together, a rock foundation. Cole & Bella' s relationship is sweet torture. It takes something powerful to evoke tears from me & this certainly does! Get your tissue at the ready... sweet love, true love....

Lovely story but felt the book had no flow and that way it was written was awkward... All the mind thoughts in italic became irritating in some parts but it was a lovely story and the last few chapters did make me cry.

WOW!!!!!!! What do you say for an ending like that? There were twists and turns ups and downs but that ending could make the coldest of hearts break down and cry.

This is the first book I read Alexis Lauren. The storyline & characters could been better. I wish the story would have grabbed my interest more. For a free book on Amazon it's okay to read.

This story broke my heart. It had me sobbing. Even though it broke my heart I would definitely recommend it. It was a short but emotionally packed book, one that I won't soon forget.
