My favorite book ever! Just open it and you are in Ireland, living the irish way. Those characters will become part of your life. I have read it thousand times, and every time is a great time. Never read it in English though.

A strange but engrossing read. Beautiful writing although some of the old school latent sexism drove me batty.

The first third of the book is so slow and plain it might easily discourage you from finishing it. Blury characters, repetitive pictures of monotoneous nature. The second half tells a different story where still most of the characters are irrelevant and they make no sense being there at all, however, the story is original and exciting.

Anne. Taubelman a Anna na seba neustále strhávajú pozornosť svojou záhadnosťou, nevypočítateľnosťou, mystifikáciami a nakoniec aj lžami a podvodmi. A čo náš Francúz?
