Winters Tide is the 4th book in this series. I will say it was a wonderful book. Diana and Stephanie are still having trouble becoming friends. Stephanie is hiding a hurtful secret, and Diana is suspended at school. As if that isn't enough, Stephanie's brother crashed after drunk-driving, and both sisters grandma falls ill. When Stephanie lie is discovered, will Diana be able to forgive her??
This book is so good. I love Stephanie, because I react the same way when I hear someone has fallen ill. This realistic fiction book will have you turning pages. There was never a part in the book that annoyed me. I loved it through and through. The book was very enjoyable, and I don't think this book could be any better.
There was a happy ending, but it still left you wondering about some things. I'd love to read other books by this author, and I've already finished this series. I like how every chapter alternated between Diana and Stephanie's point of view. The flow was good, not too fast or not too slow. I highly recommend this series, because its a really great story. Anybody between the ages of 10-14 should try this book series.
Teen Reader Reaction: This is a great book to share with teenagers. It offers readers a good reminder to live a meaningful life and how to deal with your feelings. With Diana and Stephanie, teens can see that it is okay to allow yourself to explore your feelings and express concerns for others. Also, it shows readers that you can learn to be resilient, build trust with people that are in your life, and be supportive of others.
Stephanie and Diana are stepsisters in a newly blended family. This, alone, comes with challenges. it doesn't help that the two girls are so different. Stephanie is the cheerleader type who always seems to have friends. Diana has been dealing with bullying at school that erupted into a situation that got her suspended. When tragedy strikes they need to discover their coping skills and the support that their new family provides. This is a well-written book, the fourth in the "Sisters in All Seasons" series. It's clean, realistic young adult fiction that addresses important issues.
Alright, this series is growing on me. Religious without feeling too moralistic. Formulaic without feeling too wrapped-up. Sweet but not saccharine. Squeaky clean, of course, but Kline doesn't shy away from complex or negative teen conflicts.
Straddles the line between middle grade and YA in a way that feels a little awkward at times, but I think 9 to 10-year-olds wouldn't notice. Good, clean realism.
This book made me cried 3 times. It a heartwarming story. I would remand it to others to read. This is the 4th book in the series. Sisters in all Seasons. I need to get book 1 2 3 4 I have book 5. The story is about two sisters that are step sisters.
