About the author

My writing covers a wide range, with fiction being my favorite to create, with two dozen or so titles under my belt. There are 21 titles in my YA interactive Try Not to Die series and 30 more in the works. I also have two nonfiction titles, both inspired by a reckless lifestyle, playing Ivy League football, and battering the hell out of my brain as an unsuccessful MMA fighter and boxer. Unlocking the Cage is the largest sociological study of MMA fighters to date and TBI or CTE aims to spread awareness and hope to others that suffer with traumatic brain injury symptoms.

Five short stories, guaranteed to chill.

For only having around 67 pages (give or take - I read this on the Kindle app on my tablet), I found myself thinking, "Gah! What the hell?" more than a few times. I saw the ending coming on a couple of stories but enjoyed them nonetheless. I thought the final story could have used a smidge more fleshing out (hehe), but I still appreciated the twistedness of it. Speaking of twisted, Shooting Flies was definitely that, and probably my favorite. But seriously, what the hell?

Repackaged Presents by Mark Tullius is a short collection of five stories that grab you immediately, build up and then disposes of you, so to speak.

I found the brevity of these stories to my liking rather than a weakness. Each provided enough information to guess what might happen and/or understand what happens when it finally does. A couple of them might have you squirming uncomfortably. Every one of them will serve as a reminder to check all of your door and window locks, which reminds me...

I listened to the audio version and found the narrator to be just about right. These stories beg for a bit of an understated reading and Corey Snow does this very well.

I really enjoyed these short stories. They're nice and quick little horror tales, great for a fix before bed or a weekend read. Shooting Flies is masterful and definitely my favorite. I really liked the use of the unreliable narrator in one of the stories; I think that's always fun, especially in shorts. I thought all the stories were pretty good, but I'm giving four stars instead of five because I didn't find Instant Terror to be as compelling; I saw the ending coming and didn't really feel it as much as the others.

I loved this book! I love short horror stories and these were great! I wish they all were longer because I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next even though the author told you everything you needed to know. My favorite was Instant Terror!

great little stories to keep you entertained if your not looking to read a HUGE novel. Just read a story or two a night. My favorite was the one with the girl int he library somehow I could actually see that happening somewhere. Overall I liked the variety in this book.

Love the short stories! Not too creepy or scary that I was worried about turning off the lights .. but still scary enough :)
