When Dags and Rhonda disappear without a trace, the prime suspect is the Seraphim, bent on possessing the Grimoire inside of Dags. The Ethereals intend to use the book to seal the Abysmal away forever and rule the Inner Planes unfettered. But what frightens Zoë more is the knowledge the Grimoire’s Guardian, Dags McConnell, will die if the book is removed from his soul.

But when no devastating apocalyptic events follow, Zoë and her friends look to their own to find answers that lead them to a new menace from the Ethereal Plane, and a ghost from Zoë’s past that reminds her no nightmare is ever, truly over.

I just discovered Phaedra Weldon a couple/few years ago and I'm totally in love with her character Zoe Martinique. Zoe is funny, silly, ditsy at times, lovable, sensible & senseless, stubborn & spontaneous and down right scary when she goes Wraith!

Dominion lived up to Weldon's reputation of entertaining and interesting. The only reason I give her four stars - instead of the five I normally give - is because I have such a hard time keeping up with all the names of the different levels (physical, ethereal...) as well as who is shadowed by who and what and all the names. It's a little annoying for us bad-memory folks who want to read through really fast 'cause they're enjoying it so much. I have to stop quite a bit to search my memory (each book follows the previous one perfectly) for the answer or flip back a few pages, etc.

Regardless of that I read about Zoe because the story, plot and writing are just that good!

If you're into syfy and other worldly type fantasy then you'll love Phaedra Weldon's books!
