Has some useful sections, and it was nice to read about the “pure” discipline rather than specific implementations nailed onto a corporate PMO.

This book is good in understanding what is involved in the framework, but the reason for my low rating isn't that this book doesn't add value, but rather that I would not recommend this book as a standalone book for studying for the exam. For anyone taking or planning on taking the exam, I will recommend the following materials, in order of importance:
1. PRINCE2 Study Guide, by David Hinde
2. CBT Nuggets on PRINCE2 by Steve Caseley
3. PRINCE2 for Dummies

Good book that I'm inclined to review after reading more on the method.

Too frequently the author refers to "powerful methods", which got on my nerves. However, I like the fact the author went to the effort to pointing out where Prince2 falls short or over emphasizes something our falls to explain in sufficient detail.

I feel I'm more prepared for more in-depth reading now.

Just buy the PRINCE2 manual (Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2) as you are going to need that anyway.

Found this hard going. Not what I expected from a dummies guide. Other books much better at explaining things.
