"Success is doing what God has called you do." (Rodney Howard-Browne, How to Increase and Release the Anointing)

The author admits that there is no method or formula for increasing and releasing the Anointing. He says, "I am not writing this book to bring out a formula for the anointing, but rather to give some guidelines concerning the anointing and how to operate in the anointing as a lifestyle. Not hype or "Step One, Two and Three," but a relationship with Jesus, 24 hours a day." For those who do not know what the anointing is, it is the power of God. This power is released through the person of the Holy Spirit. Jesus called it the "finger of God" (See Luke 11:20). Just as King David was anointed to be king over Israel, God has anointed you, the believer, for a specific work. In another of the author's books he says, "I can only be myself; I can't be anyone else. And you can only be yourself. I'll be me and you'll be you. I'll be the best me, and you'll be the best you. But I can't be you, and you can't be me. If we'll just be ourselves, we'll have a good time in the things of God" (Rodney Howard-Browne, The Gifts of the Holy Spirit, 2000).

God has anointed you for a specific purpose. He has empowered you to do good works. Your job is to find out what that purpose is and to work on fulfilling it by the grace of God. You are anointed to prosper in your calling and purpose.

The author says, "so many people want to be at point Z, but they won't start at A. Until you are ready for ABC, you can't get to XYZ. Be faithful with the little God gives you. It might take five, ten, twenty, thirty or forty years to see it come to pass, but have the stickability." When we are faithful with little, God will give us more (See Luke 16:10). Therefore, be faithful with what you have, and you will increase more and will have an abundance. So much abundance, that it will come to a point when it pours out on others. Amen.

This book also covers how you can put a demand on the anointing and how the anointing can be transferred.

Good book to add to your study of the Person of the Holy Spirit!
