Can they create the Holy Warriors needed to prevent the demon-spawned abominations from destroying the world.
Let the Summoning Begin.
****
Satan has found a loophole in the rules that govern his battle against Good. The Archangel Uriel sends twelve Warrior Archangels to Earth on a mission to even the odds.
Each Archangel has one month to find a couple, unite them, and use their union’s power to create the Holy Warriors needed to defend the world against Satan’s unholy creations.
But the mission isn’t so simple when inheriting Humanity comes with challenges beyond the Angel’s training, and every milestone in the couple’s relationship effects the triumvirate’s strength.
OK so I have to start by saying I enjoy Paranormal so I was excited to read one because I have been very busy reading other types of books. I started reading this book Friday night and couldnt put it down!!!! I was so involved with the story line and the characters. Who in their right mind would want to make a celibate preacher's son fall in love with a stripping whore??? and who would buy it??? *raises hand* MEEEE!!!!! The characters in the storyand the plot: I loved the story line of Troy and Devyn. I also enjoyed the whole premise of the series...Satan finding a loop whole to take over the world.God will send down 12 angels to find a couple and make them fall in love in order to help save the world. They each have 1 month to succeed. Kassern was the first Archangle to try. I felt for all the characters but especailly fell for Devyn. Devyn has been through alot and seen alot yet remained a good person who wants to help her friend. Troy, who is very shelter in comparison to her, feels so bad and wants to rescue her. Kassern and his unsuspecting layd love have a great story line and I was like HELLO Kassern feel free to try and help me outta a bad situation as well!!! I would totally recommend this book because I thought it was a great begining. The story building was easy to understand except for one part I was a little bit confused.....talking about the Lab and the experiments.....kinda unsure about it but I believe these "creatures" will be part of the bad things that will be chasing the angels who are trying to save the world. So anyway, IF you like Paranormal and if you are looking for some yummy, uper hawt angel "naughty time" then you prolly wanna try these books!!!
Kassern is a book that has your full attention from the beginning. It is about the fight between good and evil but in a unique and wonderful way. Troy, our hero, is a clean cut Christian who falls deeply in love with our heroine, Devyn, who is a stripper! Already, I'm in love. Then Ms Boone and Kenra Daniels introduces us to Kassern, our first Archangel in this series. The ruby warrior's mission is to form the first warrior of twelve, that will be used to fight these genetic abominations (also quite unique) created by demons. I loved how the authors bit the angel with the humanity he gains after forming his triumvirate with the hero and heroine. The combination of divinity with humanity brought an unexpected mess that the reader will surely love.
Ms Boone and Ms. Daniels are authors of vision. Their characters are real and we can empathize with their traits. This series will be awesome and i cant wait to meet the next archangel DORN, The Aquamarine Warrior! I can't wait to meet all twelve of them, I love how each Archangel bears a gem and its characteristics!
Kassern is the first book in a series that in my opinion is going to turn out fantastic!!!! I am wishing I didn't have to wait for the next one LOL!!! There is so much to say about this amazing story!!! Kassern is a sexy hot Angel sent to help save the world and through his human subjects, Troy and Devyn's love story, he plans to do just that. What he doesn't expect is to find his own love story along the way. This story has it all, romance, action, hotness and characters you can't help but fall for and become entangled with!! If you enjoy Romance of any sort you will love this story and you will defiantly want more just like I do!!!!
AMAZING!!!!! 'Summon Kassern' is undoubtedly a work of art. Exceptional to say the least. I started reading and could not stop until the last page. Which left me wanting more. Extremely well written. Very intriguing story. I loved the characters and how they all meshed together perfectly. Sinners, a holy man, angels and demons, what a combination. This is a book that will keep you on edge and make you feel every thing the characters felt. Erotic? Definitely hot and steamy. I loved every thing about this book. I am looking forward to reading 'Summon Dorn'. I highly recommend this book which deserves more than just 5 stars.
Summon Kassern by Azure Boone and Kendra Daniels is the first book in the “Archangel Creed” series. It is an enjoyable read that is very well written with its unique story concept in the fight between good and evil. The first story involves the issues which the Archangel Kassern faces in his part in the archangel’s “Holy Warrior” plan. The ploy of Kassern developing a side-effect as he gains some humanity traits is a wonderful addition to the story. I look forward to the next story in this series and how the next angel will complete his part in this unique plan.
Read this a few weeks ago and though its taken me a while to get a review written its not due to lack of enthusiasm!
This is a fantastic introduction to a new series. The story is interesting, the characters believable and holy hell is it steamy!! The only negative its having to wait for the next installment. Azure, good job and I can't wait for more!!
There is just something about Azure's writing that draws me in and doesn't let go. I think has to do with the originality of the stories along with the wide range of the story line. The imagination it takes to write out the weapons, abilities and personalities that these guys have is just mind boggling. I can not wait to read all of the archangels stories.
If i could put more stars on this book I would. it was fantastic and i read it in one day because I could not put it down. Can not wait for the next one!!!!!!
Disclaimer....I believe that every book is a labor of love for an author. Most of them put their heart and soul into a book and take it very personally when people do not like what they've written. My goal is never to hurt someone's feelings any more than it is to be dishonest in my thoughts.
The author's of this book did several things right with their writing. The writing itself wasn't bad. It was action oriented instead of descriptive, so there was plenty of 'doing' not 'telling'.
My biggest problem with this book is just how unbelievable the story was. I felt the author had the framework for several interesting characters, but they just came off as too scattered with relationships that were unbelievable. Devyn, one of the main characters comes off as crude and ultimately unlikable. The final straw for me with this character, was the big reveal of her 'sin'.
There were several other problems as well, the story was really over the top ridiculous for me. The description of the angel while fighting is a good example.
Ultimately even a fantasy novel must feel believable and this one just wasn't.
Kassern has been sent to Earth to find an unlikely couple, and grow powerful on their union. He picks quite the unlikely couple. First, we meet Devyn, a stripper - the star of the show actually. Then we meet Troy, a holier than thou man of God. Now Devyn I enjoyed for the most part. She had an attitude and a chip on her shoulder, but who wouldn't with her history. Troy I found to be a bit humorous and I don't know if he was supposed to be. I felt really guilty for laughing at him, but I still enjoyed it. Their relationship has many struggles because of their vast differences in life experience.
While Kassern is trying to keep Devyn and Troy happily together he realizes that he has been having some awfully funny feeling towards Devyn's roommate and suddenly it seems like we may just have a second romance going in the background.
I loved the story and the concept, but had a few little problems. The biggest being that an angel of God was so dead set on the two having sex (before marriage) all the time. Kassern was also a character that was larger than life in a way that I don't really picture an angel being (the fight scenes in particular) and I had a hard time believing in his character. The second book will be a make or break for me in this series, but it has tons of potential.
An amazing surprise. I will admit that I'm not much into angels and demons or writing about it. I love the other captivating books penned by Azure and I have to say I'm smitten with the first book of the series.
The characters are real, intense and powerful in their roles.
I was hooked immediately with the movie playing in my mind as I read. It is an easy read and you are drawn to the drama, story, emerging plot and the insanely hot sex. Holy moly...the sex is unique and powerfully written not to feel like you are watching some weird porn, but sassy, sultry, wonderful hot sex that will make you blush.
I can't wait to start book two, thankful that there is one waiting. I highly recommend this as a read if you are interested in an adventurous story with twist and turns, plus hot sex.
I so wanted to love this book but I just didn’t. I really like this author but this book is my least favorite. A couple times I had the thought “what the heck am I reading.” The book was somewhat strange (mainly character interactions) and a little over the top. Another reason why I didn’t love this book was that the heroine was such an unlikeable horrid person. I kept hoping a demon would get her at some point. I will continue with the next book because I do see a lot of potential for this series and I do like this author.
I liked this story! You would have never put these two together, but boy do they rock. It is quite a fast book in the sense of there relationship. I would have loved to know more about the Archangels but Kassern is the first of 12 so I'm sure we'll get to know them better in the following books. Thoroughly enjoyed the book and looking forward to the next .
Interesting story. I liked the very real portrayal of the women and their circumstances. There was a nice play between good and evil, pure and not pure. The writing was clumsy at times, but the story kept going. I'd be interested in seeing what happens next.
I would have read this in one day if life didn't get in the way. As two strippers/prostitutes Devyn and Karly try to avoid the annoying preacher, Troy handing out flyers outside of their place of business, the Archangel Kassern has 30 days to hook up a couple, one of them in need of salvation.
Let me tell you how tired I am of meek, innocent girls who "get shown the ways of love" by super aggressive (and often wealthy) alpha males. This is not that type of book. Thank God. Pun intended. As much as Devyn and Karly try to avoid the preacher man, they end up getting saved from various attacks by him, but he ends up also being saved by Devyn. With plenty of erotica thrown in, let me tell you how refreshing it is to read about the virgins being men and waiting until they've met someone they love. Our society treats women like their virginity is a prize to be won. Not only that, but that women should wait until they find a man to love them, that they deserve candles, satin sheets and roses. Why don't we treat men like they deserve those things? Because they do. It's not something to disregard and I find it offensive to men that we don't treat them as specially. This book does that. As Troy lets his first time be with Devyn they do fall in love and she often becomes jealous. At one point he worked up to being sexually aggressive to prove to her that he belonged to her, and she to him, gauging her reaction and waiting to see if she would stay stop or actually try to fight him. She didn't. He did go alpha a bit, but not overly so and the scene actually was pretty hot! Seriously, I feel the best kind of guy is sweet, sensitive and caring, and only alpha at the 'right' times (as opposed to all the time).
Kassern gave up control to Karly, and even let her bind him. Letting her take control is almost unorthodox in most books, and it was really refreshing to read that perspective.
There are many points that touch on God and angels, but it's not overt or so in your face, so even if you aren't particularly religious you can still get the life lessons written. For one Devyn felt unworthy not only of Troy because he is a man of God and she was "nothing, a whore used and thrown away", but also of the Archangel's mission. Truth is, God chooses who he chooses, and there are reasons for it that you as a human might not understand. Never deem yourself unworthy of anything, including salvation. Two, no one is perfect. We all have faults, and we all falter from time to time. That's OK. Ask for forgiveness and move on.
I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to book 2 :)
I was really excited to read this book after reading the synopsis as it was completely different from anything that I’d ever read before. Satan is trying to find loopholes to take over the Earth. A scientist accidentally created these ‘creatures’ and they’re worried about the impact of these on the world. In order to stop this, God sends down 12 Archangels, each with the task of finding two humans and making them fall in love in order to help save the world. Each has 1 month to complete this task and Kassern was the first sent down.
I loved his couple. Troy and Devyn couldn’t be more opposite but they were the perfect match for one another. He is a preacher trying to help exploited women and help as many people as he can, and she is a stripper whose life has thrown her one curveball after another. She’s trying to save her best friend from her horrid boyfriend and a life of prostitution. How could they ever end up together? I enjoyed how the two characters personalities and relationship played out and grew throughout the book. Troy is a sheltered man and all he wanted to do was rescue Devyn. He didn’t expect her to evoke all these feelings within him and Devyn didn’t think she could ever fall for a preacher given her background.
These two characters together were perfect, and the development of every character in the story was done carefully as to not overwhelm, but ease us into their story. Their union played a key role for Kassern, who didn’t really make an appearance until further in the book. He becomes a little bit human in order to stay on Earth and fight against Satan’s armies. Once Kassern arrived, in his muscled bad-ass glory, the action in the book really kicked off to another level and I loved it. He also didn’t expect to be affected by Devyn best friend. Angels, demons, powers, heroes and romance. Each aspect of the book was very cleverly thought out to help the book flow and unfold the story plots.
This is the start of what I feel will be a very good series and I can’t wait to read the next book. I enjoyed how it was really two romance stories in one, one of the human couple and also the Archangel. At the start you’re thinking ‘a preacher and a stripper? That’s not going to work!’ but I can guarantee you, it works perfectly. I loved how opposite they were. I can’t wait to see how this story and series unfold and where it will lead to. If you’re looking for a paranormal read with a bit of a different spin then this is definitely one to read. Loved it.
**I received a free copy of this ebook from the author in exchange for my fair and honest review.**
“Summon Kassern” by Azure Boone and Kenra Daniels is an absolute rush of a story. From page one, I was drawn in by the tale and it kept me captive straight through until the end. The book is extremely well-written with great characters that leapt off the pages. Troy and Devyn were wonderful and had me rooting from them. They had completely different live, yet they were written so well that they seemed to belong together on the page. The storyline of the angels and demons was terrifying and exciting. This is a great paranormal story that will keep you glued to the pages!
Oh boy! There are many levels to this first book. It is truly an imaginative creation that kept me guessing and reading.. The one constant in this well crafted story is love. Anything for love. And love gives without asking for recompense. If you are looking for something to leave you thinking, look no further. If you are looking to be charmed and entertained, stop here and get this book. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Rest assured I will purchase the next installment.
Thank you for a free book to read and review for Wicked Reads. While this book has the most far fetched plot I have ever read when it comes to paranormal, the author manages to pull it off. I think this book was well written and interesting and the genre was definitely stayed within. The characters started off either so lily white or so damned that by the end I was a mess. I chuckled and I gasped in places, and even out right laughed. I can not wait to start the next book, thanks so much for a free read.
Angels demons and hot love! You can’t go wrong when you combine good writing with the epic battle between good & evil and then wrap it with the power of love! This book includes a new fascinating twist on Angels that is really fun to imagine. The authors immerse you in their world blending realistic elements with fantasy elements seamlessly. Paranormal romance fans will love this first installment of the Archangels Creed series!
I loved this book, I honestly loved it. It was brilliant, nothing like anything I've ever read before. Kassern (Love the name by the way) he is amazing and awesome and man oh man do I love him! This book had really realistic views on humanity and things that happen in life, and not the good things either. I just loved that about it, it wasn't sugarcoating anything; which was very refreshing. I cannot wait to read the next book...!
Kick Ass Book! This book was extremely well written. It was an intriguing story. I didn't want to stop reading it. Happy I took a chance on it. Definitely getting the next book in the series.
