Bursting with powerful tips, tricks, advice and guidance taken from interviews with some of the most positive and productive people in the world, from Mohammed Ali and Richard Branson to Alex Ferguson and Tiger Woods.
Professor Damian Hughes combines his practical and academic background within sport, organization and change psychology to work as a trusted adviser to business, education and sporting elite, specializing in the creation of high-performance cultures.
I owe this book a rather large debt of gratitude, well the book and Mr Hughes. Extraordinary considering I didn’t finish it. Not that there’s anything wrong with it.
Two things happened whilst reading g it, both rather significant.
I downloaded this immediately after seeing Mr Hughes speak. He is an excellent speaker and I was rather enjoying the book. However, after making my way through about half of the book my father passed away. Somewhat traumatic. And no doubt related to this, I decided there was nothing I really wanted to change. So the gratitude is 1: helping me come to terms with my fathers death and 2: realising that I’m quite happy with my life. And that’s big.
Great read nonetheless and I’m sure I will return to complete it soon.
A MUST for all student and gurus of personal development. An easy to read and understand book which will help you create instant positive changes. I have learned so much and how easy it is to make change quickly and one which last. I will be using the principles from this book whilst working with my clients and in group courses and programs.
I recently met Damian at an event and while I appreciate this book I think he's much, much better in person. However, I would still recommend this book for anyone who doesn't like change - I personally do so I don't think it was as effective on me but still interesting to know why we do things.
Really enjoyed this easy and short read. The author does cite a lot of studies and psychology but I enjoy that so I found it to be a bonus. I recommend this book.
