You are about to be swept into the genius minds of Cubs fans, awe-struck by their farsighted scheming, stricken dumb by their tales of fandom as they lay bare their sordid love affair with their Chicago team. America’s bestselling sports author Rich Wolfe garnishes this one-of-a-kind chronicle with oodles of sports trivia and captures the spirit with chapters like "Fandemonium," and "It’s Bad Luck to be Superstitious." There’s never been a book like this…a vehicle for blue-red-and-white fans to share their funniest stories, saddest memories, happiest times and craziest moments. Every story will jog your personal Cubs memory bank—the joy, the jokes, the pranks, the games—told by an all-star team of fans. Get your estate in order. You may not live to see another dawn because you might die laughing.
The book that I read is Cubs Fans Only. It is about kids that skip school to go to Wrigley Field on opening day. There are people in the press box to talk about the game and they are telling their experiences with the cubs. They were fans since they were little kids and their parents didn't care that they cut school to go to Wrigley Field on the opening day. They are telling the story when they are in their older ages and telling it like they were young again. The main point of the book is that they are talking about how they support the cubs at their games when they were really good and not losing very many games. They go to the games on school nights and they take their baseball gloves to catch a baseball if one of the teams have a home-run when they hit it from when the pitcher throws it.
There is no image of this book on screen because it is wrapped in a dust jacket, which also reads "There's No Expiration Date on Dreams" do it is still good reading. If you're a Cubs fan you will recognize yourself in here! Author Rich Wolfe has also published books on Harry Carey, Da Coach, Bobby Knight and Jack Buck. (This is our Century, eh, Cub fans?)
