A few of the stories were amusing (the crabapple-loving cat) but many incidents were just a result of owner irresponsibility and just sad. Allowing your cat to be beaten up by other animals on the farm for years?! Allowing your cat to be hit by cars twice and then shot?! Letting your dog continually eat chocolate? This book was more disturbing than entertaining. Just made me sad that these pets weren't better cared for.

My favorite story was "Don't Leave Me" as it reminds me of our dog, Zeke! He was abused before he came to us and can't stand to be left alone! If he was bigger (he's a Dachsund) I can picture him wrapping himself around our leg trying to stop us from leaving!
