Haunted Little Rock (Haunted

Rate this book
From the Quapaw tribe who first inhabited the land to the first French settlement in the early 1700s, Little Rock's history predates the founding of America. Yet the people and events that shaped this historic legacy refuse to disappear into the pages of history books, and voices from the past still echo on Little Rock's streets. Join author and tour guide Linda Howell as she recounts history that is as fascinating as it is frightening. From the harrowing tale of how Curran Hall came to be haunted to the story behind the spirits that linger in historic Mount Holly Cemetery and much more, this collection covers the breadth of Little Rock's chilling history.

Interesting read

I really enjoyed this book about my hometown. I also learned about some more stories and places around the city that I have never heard of before. This book was a fairly fast read for me. I liked the chapter on Woodson Lateral as I grew up with my dad and uncle having a construction shop on that road.

it’s okay

I was hoping for more good ghost stories from Little Rock and instead it’s mostly a book that showcases Little Rock’s history with light tales of ghost activity. If this is your thing where you enjoy more history then ghost then you’ll love it.

This book was just OK. It was informative but rather dry.

Good tour thru the Little Rock area

A very interesting book. While it did not have a large or very detailed “ghost story” for each site, it did provide a detailed and interesting background and description of the site. I have lived in the Little Rock area for over 24 years and while I knew and have visited many of the sites she talks about I still learned a great deal about them. The book reads like tour guide presentation. The book is an easy fun read and I recommend it for your pleasure.

Fascinating if you're looking to read about the history and architecture of Little Rock, since that's what over 90% of the content of the book is. Dreadfully boring if you want to read about ghosts in Little Rock.

It’s less ghost story, more Little Rock history with a hint of possible haunts. Good, but not wowed. 👏🏼

This is a good little book. It gives a brief history of each site as well as the "ghost" story. I recommend that anyone interested in both history and the paranormal pick up a copy.
