"I, Steve Jobs" isn't a conventional biography but despite this, is a book that I found very interesting. I found it by chance and I think that is a great way to discover the great and perfectionist mind of Steve Jobs. The book is a compilation of anecdotes, thoughts, and mantras that the famous entrepreneur and apple CEO used along with to their many successes and also failures in professional and personal life.

كتاب رائع جدا يعطيك لمحات عن ثورة الكمبيوتر الذى صناعها ستيف حوبز برفقة ستيف وزيناك استمتعت جدا عندما ارى اهمية العميل بالنسبة لشركة ابل لذلك هذه الشركة العظيمه اعظم شركات العالم على الاطلاق وسياسة امتلاك لااسهم للموظفين رائعه ايضا جدا الكتاب فى مجمله رائع يعرض اهم اقتباسات عن العبقرى ستيف جوبز وفى الجزء التانى يعرض اهم محطات حياته العظيمه

1. "People say you have to have a lot of passion for what you're doing and it's totally true and the reason is... is because it's so hard, that if you don't, any rational person would give up. It's really hard and you have to do it over a sustained period of time. So if you don't love it, if you're not having fun doing it (you don't really love it), you're gonna give up. And that's what happens to most people actually.
If you look at the ones that ended up being "successful" in the eyes of society and the ones who didn't, oftentimes, the ones who were successful love what they did so they could persevere when it got really tough. And the ones that didn't love it... quit... co'z they're sane. Who wants to put up with this stuff if you don't love it?
So it's a lot of hard work and it's a lot of worrying constantly and if you don't love it, you're gonna fail. So you gonna love it, you gonna have passion."
2. You've got to be a really good talent scout co'z no matter how smart you are, you need a team of great people. And you've got to figure out how to size people up fairly, quickly. Make decisions without knowing people too well and hire them and see how you do and refine your intuition and be able to help build an organization that eventually just build itself co'z you need a great people around you.

Well, I am an admirer of Steve Jobs, therefore this "book" has a hard time disappointing in that regard. The book "i, Steve" is not really a book but a collection of SJ quotes from various sources (which is clearly stated). I did really like at the end of all the quotes the timeline of Steve's life start to finish (by year) with all the milestones accomplished by himself and/or the companies he was involved with. Though the only context for each quote is the name of the publication or event and year it originated from, not so much the backstory that led to the quotes. Disjointed but a super quick read.

Steve Jobs je osoba vrijedna divljenja i kad bih ocjenjivala njega kao osobu, definitvno bi to bila petica. Ali, nažalost, ova knjiga je daleko od toga.
Ne znam zbog čega, možda zbog njegovih uspjeha, zbog njega kao ličnosti, ali ja sam mnogo očekivala od ove knjige. A dobila sam jednu zbrku. Ovdje nisu njegovi citati pomoću kojih bi mi izvukli ono najbolje, koji bi nam pomogli da se pokrenemo u životu, ništa misaono i dubokoumno. Ovdje kao da su dali nekome da nasumično bira neke njegove izjave iz intervjua koje je radio tokom života. Mnogo je sličnih koje se ponavljaju. Ono što se meni svidjelo i što je vrijedno pažnje moglo je stati na 10 stranica (i to je možda puno).
Drugo, mnogo me smetalo "Epl", "Njuz", itd. Umorila sam se dok sam pohvatala niti.
Iskreno, ovu knjigu ne bih nikome preporučila. Vjerujem da ljudi koji vole Jobsa i koje zanima njegov život mogu pronaći mnogo bolje knjige koje će im nešto zaista i reći o njemu.
Jedino pozitivno je što se brzo čita, pa ako ipak i odlučite da je pročitate nećete izdangubiti mnogo. :D

Lo recomiendo si quieren saber más acerca de "Apple" y de lo que opinaba Steve Jobs con respecto a esto.
Sinceramente no me gustó, me aburrí bastante; y en esta edición es horrible la traducción y tenía errores, además había partes en inglés que no se molestaron en traducir y algunos títulos ni los corrigieron.

كتاب لطيف يجمع اقتباسات ستيف جوبز بشكل مبوب؛ مع كل اقتباس يدرج مصدر الاقتباس وتاريخه. بالإضافة لطريقة تقديم الكتاب المنظمة، فكرة الكتاب نفسه تعطيك لمحة عن العقل الذي كان يقود ستيف جوبز.

Let me start my review with a shocking information at least for me. Steve's biological father was Syrian his name was "Abdulfattah "John" Jandali ", and he gave his son for adaption. So I HOPE YOU WERE HAPPY WITH YOUR DECISION Mr Abdulfattah :\
Back to Steve, every person knows him, whether he works in IT, or not. THIS man was A LEGEND. In this book you'll know about his career life, and little about his personal life. I personally have learned a lot especially I'm a software engineer I can always relate his words to my career life. The man Knew his words. This book is worth reading :)

I like Steve Jobs but this book is like his timeline and quotes jammed in one book. Though in general I prefer reading out of a book rather than a device I won't mind scrolling through Steve's quotes on Goodreads over this because there are repetition of his quotes in the book at different situations. Of course, it's his quotes and he can re-quote himself, but to read it over again and again in one book seems over-quoted. On a positive note, I got to rediscover that almost all of my fav animated movies are from Pixar.

I had big expectation for this book!

This book I, Steve is based on the life of Steve Jobs. The man who changed the world. This book perfectly depicts the achievements of Jobs in a timely fashion. The book has three things:
1.) The great quotes and his ideas retrieved from his speeches and the digital media and archives. It explains what Steve Jobs is all about.
2.) The timeline of his professional and bit of his personal life.
3.) The reliable sources and websites from where you can get accurate details about the life of Steve Jobs.
The novel has been focused on what Jobs wanted the world to understand about his visions and his ideologies for Apple.
What I learnt from the book and Jobs life is two things:
1.) Never ever share your dreams with other people because they can never understand the depth and importance of it. You are the only who knows how much your ideas can change the world. The people around are tented to discourage you from pursuing your risky dreams but you have to decide; how you want to shape your life, on your dreams or someone else’s? As the Henry Ford said: “If I would have asked the people what they want; they would have said a faster horse”
2.) Secondly, just technology or ideas are not important for someone to succeed. One should have the grace/art factor too. The ideas in itself are never enough until they are presented in an artistic way such that it attracts eyes.
Technology/Ideas + Art = Success
The book is good for an insight into Jobs’ life but it’s not very deep into his personal life. It basically puts some light on his inspiring quotes, achievements, timeline of his life and his dreams for Apple and the people associated with it.

Sam sadržaj knjige nema potrebe da komentarišem, s obzirom na to da je riječ o citatima jednog od najvećih genija - Stiva Džobsa. Kada bih ocjenu svela na to, naravno da bi bila čista petica.
Ono šta, međutim, čini najveći dio problematike je sama straktura i način na koji je knjiga odrađena. Naprosto nisam oduševljena. A trebala bi da budem. Zadatak je bio tako prost, a odrađen je tako površno. Mnogo, mnogo, mnogo toga kreativnijeg se moglo odraditi sa ovim sadržajem.
Ako se pak ograničim na ovu jednostavnost u kreiranju, opet imam zamjerku na samo slaganje sadržaja. Sve mi izgleda tako nabacano i besmisleno, sa dosta ponavljanja.
Svakako, ovo je djelo za istinske ljubitelje Epla, poštovaoce rada i djela Stiva Džobsa. Kao što i naslovna stranica sugeriše - "kolekcionarko djelo".
P.S. Tako malo djelo, tako malo teksta, a pronađoh barem 4 greške u tekstu, iako nisam pomno pratila. Bravo za Vulkan.

some people may see this book as a bunch of quotes , but I see something different the "VISION" , it shows clearly the vision of steve jobs in the whole industry , some important principles in innovation and design !

Well, the title of the book is misleading when it says that it is 'Steve Jobs in his Own Words'. The book is not an autobiography, but is a compilation of his outlook on technology, success, health, etc.
Given that it is not a conventional biography, the book did not engage me in its entirety. Steve Jobs although, never fails to motivate. His quotes are inspirational and thought provoking, and picking one as a favorite will be an exigent task.

The book is more of a collection of short stories and quotes from Jobs life. The writing style, the format is unique but rather disappointing. Definitely a book that I will not recommend to anyone. On the plus point its a short and easy to read book, preferably for tumblr users who scavenge internet for Jobs quotes.

كان دون المستوى، ولاأعلم هل زادت الترجمة تشويهه أم أن المحتوى الأصلي كان هكذا، الاقتباسات كانت أشبه بأخبار متفرقة لارابط بينها من حيث الموضوع أو التسلسل الزمني، نقطة واحدة من أجل قسم الأحداث الهامة مع أنها أيضاً مكررة ومصاغة بطريقة غير مشوقة

Creo que si fuera mio el libro estaría todito subrayado... Solo un par de cosas no entendí del libro porque hay que conocer de el antes para leelo sin embargo dps las comprendí bien, de todos modos sigue siendo inspirador a presar de estrato de citas.
