[Siren Menage Erotic Paranormal Menage a Trois Romance, M/M/F, fae, HEA] Maverick Brac is having a hard time letting go. It has been a full year since Melonee found her mate, yet he can’t seem to accept that she’s not his little girl anymore. Melonee knows Maverick loves her, but waiting to be with Ruttford is no longer an option. Especially when Ruttford gives her five days to settle her affairs at home before he claims her. But her troubles are only beginning when a stranger shows up at her door and Melonee realizes the handsome man is her second mate. Adam Nyte has come to Brac Village with a hidden agenda, but soon finds nothing is at it seems, including the way the seductive but innocent Melonee Brac affects him. Between her family offering up sex tips and Maverick blowing a gasket every time her mates’ names are mentioned, Melonee has no more room for madness in her life. But will she be able to handle the love of two men, or will the chaos all around her prove too much? Each book in Lynn Hagen's Brac Pack collection focuses on a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, we recommend reading the series in sequential order. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
Why? No, honestly, why? I asked myself that ever since I saw it on the 'Coming Soon' list at Lynn Hagen's website.
Brac Pack Series is an MM Romance series. Throwing in an MF story? That just seems wrong in my eyes. Maybe because I'm female and I know all about girly bits and it is really not interesting to read about. Maybe because I liked the series and the characters because it was MM and the MALES were interesting - the females annoying. Melonee no exception.
Bottom line, I was dissappointed. Highly so even. I knew Melonee would get her own story, I knew that. But make it an extra and not part of the series as a whole. Because, as mentioned, Brac Pack - for me - is an MM series and has no place for MF. Why even go down that road? Every single story written has been MM since the beginning and all of sudden we're going MF? Why? To get more money and readers? Probably.
Again, Melonee would get her own story which was clear since the Christmas Story written last year. But why make it part of the series? Make it an extra story to it.
Ridiculous. I dislike this.
And like that isn't enough the new series Rise of Changelings (which, by the way, have far too many bloody releases right after each other) also has "exclusive MF/MMF scenes of secondary character". OH, SHUT YER FUCKING TRAP!
This was book 30 in the "Brac Pack" series. Maverick Brac is having a hard time letting go his adopted daughter Melonee who is now a grown woman has known who I R of her mate's is for a year. Ruttford is a Christmas elf and he is tired of waiting for his mate. Ruttford has caused problems for Maverick and the pack in the past and he doesn't like him. When he gives her five days Melonee doesn't what to do because she has found her other mate. Adam Nyte has come to Brac Village with a hidden agenda he went to school with Lewis. Turns out Adam is her other mate and he is human and has know idea that paranormal's exist. Adam came to town under false pretenses not of his own but the company he works for. Ruttford is also dealing with his brother who has a gambling problem and when Cecil gets a call threatening his family the mates take over and gets in trouble. This was a good read all He loved wants is to be treated like a grown woman. While I liked this book but had a lot of errors in it. I love Cecil and the other mates they act like a gang. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I really want to cry. I put off reading this book as long as I could before giving in. First I have to say my first reaction was Why? 29 m/m books in the series now all of a sudden females are going to be introduced? Seriously why? I read these books because there is NO females! I felt as if I was left with two options, either i could suck it up and read the book knowing I wouldn't like, but don't want to miss any of the story line. Or I could drop the whole series. (dropping this series is not yet an option for me as its one of the first m/m I read and one of my all time faves.) As a loyal reader I feel really upset in the change up. If Melonee's story was so important to write than make it as a side story, where no new characters are introduced and no new plot details are added, so those of us who dont want to read female/anything aren't forced to read it or miss out on details missed because we choose to skip this book. Maybe Im wrong. Again this just is my opnion. Please! Please! Please! keep the rest of these m/m series m/m only! If there are going to be books with females in them maybe they should have their own series.
Free! I am free! Ahem. I mean, I’m done with this book. No need to cringe anymore in dread. I feared this book. I avoided it like the plague. In the end it wasn’t as awful as I thought it would be. Not pleasant, but readable. Or skimmable.
Yeah, I still hate Ruttford. (Curbing the infantile urge here to call him Buttford.) Adam is no better. And Melonee? Uh, she is a bit too improbably innocent for my liking. Sexually, I mean. Throw in the porn-like language and yeah. I’m not comfortable. So it’s clear that the romance aspect of this is mostly a write-off.
I so, so hate stories where the woman is seduced by the hero(es) constantly getting grabby with her. ’Cause women are of course powerless to resist when they’re being groped. Touch their breasts and they will immediately succumb. God, I hate that. That’s not romance. Not even remotely.
On that note, some more questions of logic came up.
Adam is not surprised at all that Lewis has not aged more? And seeing how they went to high school together that would make Adam how old? Fifty? Sixty?
Also I do not see why everyone is blaming Adam for being hired to go to the village. No, he did not bring anyone there but himself and his associate. True, he is a jerk, but they can’t hold him accountable for . They came up with that all by themselves.
*huff* Given how old Christian and his brothers are I seriously doubt that their childhood home looks medieval.
As for the, uh, romance plot… Adam’s turnaround is lighting fast. Sure. Whatever. I’m glad I don’t really need to care about this book.
Glad it’s out of the way. I don’t think I will even rate this. Since I really did not want to read it, a rating would seem unfair. (Just in case of doubt, no, I did not like this book.)
While I liked reading about the Brac group,(that's why it's not 1 star) I liked last years xmas story better. I didn't care for this threesome. Ruttford was irritating thru the whole thing. I agree with another review that the guys didn't really do anything to fix problems (Adam kinda of did, his problem not sure if it's over) to earn Maverick's respect, and while Melonee did the way she did was very questionable, If she really wanted to show they were meant to be together they should have fixed it together, not her stomping off (like she did as a child) and going to show them she is an adult. Imo it showed she had no faith in her men to solve it or help solve it. Skimmed/skipped the sex scene pages. Someone wrote it was "mainly the guys" not what I saw.
Unfortunately I didn't care for surprise at ending either. I felt sorry for a child to be born to those 3 at this time. They weren't believable yet as a good trio.
Awful. Not my cup of coffee. Hated it. It was supposed to be a M/M series for a reason. This in my opinion spoiled the whole thing.
It should be a side story with no plots that would interrupt the flow of the other books, instead of making a reader forced to read so they don't miss out plot lines. Very disappointed and it has upset many readers.
What I don't understand is that this book was included but Mating Thomas was only APP Exclusive. A bit backwards don't you think when Mating Thomas also has some minor plot lines.
Made myself read this, skimmed most of it. Not happy. It did not, for me, confuse me when reading later books because it was pretty easy to guess the plot lines and the new pairings (finished the whole series and only today have I forced myself to read it) and as expected; hated it.
The usual suspects are back in this chaotic episode of the Brac Pack series. This book is different to the previous books because it is m/m/f instead of the usual m/m. I think the author did really well to make sure it fit into the series.
The story was interesting and really funny with Maverick trying to hold onto his adopted daughter Melonee who wants to join her mate Ruttford. Add to the mix a third mate Adam, Ruttford's brother Fire who owes money to some murderous elves, and all the other crazy characters and you get a Brac Pack story at its finest.
I don't know how the author does it but she has created a highly amusing easy to read shifter series that will be entertaining me for as long as she keeps writing.
I haven't read a book with a female MC In a long time and I found this to b better than I thought it would b.While Adam seems like scum at first he turns out to b not that bad. While I found it strange because in my mind Melonee is still a child I found it interesting to see things from a female perspective for a change. I will admit I was hesitant to read this for fear it might ruin the series but I'm happy to say it doesn't and fits the series well.
This book was okay and although I am not a fan of MMF in a series that was totally MM up to this point I gave it a try. I did skim the sex scenes and found them lacking but Cecil and Maverick made this book a good read for me. I hope there are no future books with females in them. For now I will continue reading this series because I love this series and this author.
While I'm on this book, with Adam's occupation being what it is, I'd like to point out that a lot, and I do mean A LOT, of time has passed in series since the first book, and there are human residents in Brac Village, and no one is the least bit suspicious that Maverick has been in town since it's conception, and no one is weirded out that he's not ageing. I would've thought people would be going after them with torches and pitchforks since Maverick and those close to him are clearly not human. It's not like Maverick is a vampire and can wipe people's memories.
Is Melonee not fey, can she not shimmer? This book is one mistake on top of another. Melonee has a talk with her mom on the phone, I would've thought since she can travel at the speed of light she'd be popping up at her mom's every time she needed anything at all + her mom is offering to get Melonee's stepfather to drive all the way to Brac Village, again can Melonee not freakin' shimmer?
If I were Melonee I would've encouraged Ceri to do the job ASAP because then there would be no more threats for her family on that front, instead she's striking a deal with him. Ceri was interesting in Rhys's book but now he looks like a complete wannabe and a pushover. The bargain was utterly unnecessary.
Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each): Brac Pack Christian's Coven Zeus's Pack Demon Warriors The Exiled
These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.
One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order): Brac Village Shadow Tribe BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids) The Remus Brothers Wolves of Desire
Glad Melonee got her story. However I picked this series and this author due to the fact that her stories are m/m, m/m/m. If I wanted to read about girly parts I would have read them. So to have this story mixed with the others, well to put it normally, sucked. Made the whole series drop in my eyes. I could have seen just writing this but not putting it as Brac Pack. Maybe even putting the story as a fluff piece inside another story. I really doubt that I will focus on this author any longer. Which sucks because it was in my top 5 series.
Me encantaría conocerlas.
Maverick nunca me agradó pero sus reacciones en este libro me parecieron muy divertidas: Ruttford+Adam+ Explotación Financiera. Saltarme las escenas de sexo heterosexual hizo más entretenida la historia.
Ruttford did indeed regret all those pranks. And Adam, her second mate is worse. Melonee is having to battle Maverick just to see them (because he can't get over the fact she isn't five anymore) and get her soon to be brother-in-law out of a pickle (which eventually leads her to Ceri, of all scary individuals).
I know a lot of people who follow this series have skipped this book, but I think that is a mistake, even if you only skim certain parts. There is important (series-level) information that occurs here. So, even if you skip all the sex scenes, and just read the other bits, they may become important later, or at least referenced at some point.
I honestly don't know why I started this novel. I have nothing against MMF novels. I have quite a lot against MMF novels in the middle of a purely MM series.
Not to mention, Melony's involvement in any of these stories was always... forced. She just didn't fit. Every time she appeared, I groaned and wondered what else was going to happen and how long did I have to read before it was over. So there was no way I was going to enjoy reading her HEA.
I actually really liked it!!! <3 Though, I admit I did mostly skip the sex scenes. I just hope no other book in this series... or any other of her series, has any MF parts.
If it's a Stand alone sure, I don't care.. but just not a series that I have come to love....
I hated this book. This should have been a .5 extra novella. why after so many books did she introduce a female. I wanted to smack Mel all through this book. I wish I DNF'd this book. It was like she had nothing else to write about.... good lord..... if I could get m money back and forget this book I would try... bleeechhhhhhh
I know that many who read this book will be upset over the fact that it is mmf. All I can say is get over yourselves. It's is a great book and it is only fair that Melonee have her own book, now that she's grown. Don't be narrow minded, read it and enjoy it!
I love you Lynn Hagen - don't get me wrong - but this was just - not good. I didn't like reading about Melonee getting it on and I never thought Ruttford was a good guy nor Adam... and Adam and Ruttford as mates... I just never felt it.
Wow this was outstanding Maverick's going to be a grandfather and I can't wait to read the next one going to love it just as much as the first 29 books ......
I didn't think I would like this from some of the reviews on here, but I was pretty surprised. I liked the little glimpse of Ceri too, that should be dang interesting.
