Thank you so much for writing this surprise addition to Quinn and Williams story. It was wonderful to be with them for the last part of Quinn's first pregnancy and for Nay's wedding. I am so happy that I got to meet their first child. I know this review sounds strange, but the way Breeana Puttroff wrote these characters, they truly feel like friends if not family! I can't wait to read more of your books!!!

Just so it is very clear, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series!!! ONLY READ THIS BOOK ONCE YOU HAVE READ ALL OF THE OTHERS FIRST!!!

I really do love these books!

I have read all the books for a second time recently. I love the characters that bring the stories alive! In spite of having to totally lay aside the unreal similarities in the two worlds, it is so easy to get wrapped up with the story and the characters and just accept that it doesn’t really make sense how much alike the worlds really are! Don’t "think" just enjoy the wonderful people that make up Quinn's families!

Fun little novella about Quinn's first Christmas without her Earth family and how William and the rest of the Roses make it special. Quinn's taken the throne and is now Queen. Reconciliation with her father's family has been slow going but going nonetheless. And now Quinn and William are on the way to Eirentheos to see Linnea marry Ben (the guard). Nice glimpse into how everyone has been since the end of the last book. 4 stars.

A baby Rose

This is a cute depiction of Quinn's pregnancy and early months as a new queen. I loved it and look forward to continuing the story.

Continuing where the main series left off, in this short novel you get to follow along with William and Quinn on their journey to parenthood, of the trials and tribulations of that journey with Sophia constantly over their shoulder.

You see, this is no ordinary baby, after all. This is the air to the kingdom, the link that connects the two kingdoms in a way no other heir could do. The child born of a prince and princess of the two neighboring kingdoms whose very existence links the two, as it was always meant to be.

But you see, Quinn is homesick. She misses her mother. She misses her holiday traditions and there is no way to replicate any of that. Or is there?

This story is the perfect complement to the main series, and it fills a small void for those of us who read the series and were left with a sense of longing, missing our favorite characters. The author does a beautiful job of weaving the stories together and creating not what comes as a sense of finality, but a thirst for more of the characters we have fallen in love with. There evidently will be more coming, with a spin off of sorts from another perspective some years in the future. I personally cannot wait.

This book follows Quinn on her journey after her coronation. She is seven months pregnant and her grandmother Sophia is worried about her traveling this late in her pregnancy. With everyone worried that something might go wrong it isn't until they are traveling and a stoem hits that Quinn actually starts worrying about the baby. They start their travels again back to Eirentheos and things get harder she continues to have her labor stopped and she is allowed to go to Linnea's reception, but not the wedding ceremony. While at the party they have to stop her labor again. She stops going through labor for a while and she can return to normal activities when it starts to snow again, they all get an idea to celebrate Christmas for Quinn and keep in a secret until that day. She is so happy to be able to celebrate with the family that she has found in Eirentheos. Thats when her water breaks and the baby is born nine hours later... they decide his name is to be Samuel Owen after the two people that they love and he becomes the Christmas rose! I am so glad that this book was written I was worried that they would just end their and that was sad to me. Until next time :)

Der 5. Teil der 'Dusk Gate Chronicles' ist eine Kurzgeschichte um die Schwangerschaft und Geburt von Quinn und Williams erstem Kind.
Das königliche Paar reist Mitten im Winter zur Hochzeit von Linnea und Ben nach Eirentheos. Sie geraten in einen Schneesturm und Quinn bekommt vorzeitige Wehen. Durch die Komplikationen müssen sie im Schloss von Wills Eltern bis nach der Geburt bleiben.

Das Buch beschreibt wundervoll, wie es ist schwanger zu sein und die Zweifel die damit einherkommen. Muttergefühle kommen nicht automatisch und man denkt, dass man alles weiterhin kann, wie immer - man ist ja nicht krank.

Wie immer ohne große Theatralik und aufgesetzter Action - wundervolle Geschichte!

A Christmas Rose is a novella that takes place after the Blooms of Consequence, the last book in the series. I just finished reading it, and it's a very cute follow-up on how the characters are getting on with their lives. It's nice to see how things are changing, while some things are still the same. So tender, kind of bittersweet in a way, but still promising a bright future. One part even made me cry. :)

This is just a novella so I shouldn't have expected much. But it was sold to me by the idea of Quinn introducing Christmas in a world that didn't know about it. So I was rather disappointed to find out that it was just all the American traditions with tree and presents and nothing about the meaning of Christmas, which by the way would have fit wonderfully into that world. But that only got a sentence. So I was a bit disappointed, all though it was great to meet all my favorite characters again and enjoy the special feel Breeana is so good at.

I love this novella. It is sweet, smartly written and heartwarming. The story is about family, the spirit of giving, and pure love.

I am so glad that I decided to read this novella after I finished Blooms of Consequence, book 4 of The Dusk Gate Chronicles.

Puttroff delivers a well-written, feel good story. It is definitely a must read for fans of The Dusk Gate Chronicles.

I LOVED this series! I read all of them in about a weeks time. It's so easy to fall in love with the characters, the only thing I didn't like was sometimes I felt like the character development went a little deep with information that didn't really add to their development or the plot line but that's just my opinion. I really hope to see more of this series or a spin off series come out!

I was sad to see this series end. And was really happy to see Quinn have a happy ending and getting adjusted to her new life after everything shes been through. Though I do not really like her grandmother.
I highly recommend this series and can't wait to see her new series that she is working on!

This is a little short story set in the Dusk Gate Chronicles were Quinn, now living in her homeland is remembering Christmases past with her family and faces her feelings about not being able to spend Christmas with them.
I really enjoyed this one, too.
