Molly Prescott has been on the run for more than six years since she disappeared from her home in Maryland. A trail of death has followed in her wake; the inexplicable demise of numerous men across the country.
FBI Agent Garrison Edwards is assigned to the case when another agent, a healthy man in his 30s – mysteriously died. He soon discovers the one nexus to the many unexplained deaths is a young woman. He is unsure what her connection to the deaths. Is she a serial killer, an accomplice?
Ultimately, Molly followed by Edwards ends up in small town in East Texas, where following her arrival the once-peaceful hamlet is torn by violence and a number of murders.
I'm struggling to review this one because everything I think of falls into the 'spoiler' category, so I'll try just saying what surprised me. I started out thinking this is not a mystery if I know who the killer is --- wrong, I was way off.
I thought it had too many leading characters and I would have trouble keeping them straight --- wrong, they each lived up to their task and showed they had a real purpose. I thought this is a paranormal with lipstick --- wrong, it definitely is not. I thought I would get distracted before the end of such a long book --- wrong again.
I couldn't wait for evening quiet time to get back to it, so I used the Bluetooth and Kindle's text-to-speech to keep going even while I ran errands and did the shopping. It was worth the length. It was a really good mystery all the way to the end. And I'm glad I have at least one more of the author's novels already on my Kindle.
PURSUED A Masterpiece by C.S.MILLER Truly UNPUTDOWNABLE & Totally AWESOME. cudnt put it down untill it was finished.its the crafting of suspense throughout the story that is most impressive. an unforgettable book that i have. i think it takes a gifted writter to make readers get attached to a character & C.S.MILLER succeeded as the main charcter 'MOLLY PRESCOTT'is very compelling & her fears are palpable....its simply a great book & deservedly a MASTERPIECE of english literature.
I really enjoyed this book, the premise was well thought out. This is the second book I have read by this author and his writing style is completely different. Both books kept my attention through out and I will look for more books from him. Only criticism I have is that he could use a little more proof-reading of his book before publishing.
A clever book, with lots of interesting characters. Gripping reading, I kept reading it as I was getting ready to sleep so needless to say I had a couple of late nights!!!
