I really liked this book, more than I thought I would to be honest! I loved that it was based in wales and Hereford and what I really loved was having been to Hereford as it named the streets the events took place in my head I could really follow it. 4.5/5

I’d like to thank the publisher for sending me a copy of this book through First Reads.
I think children interested in fantasy will enjoy this book - it has some very descriptive scenes (but unfortunately a few holes in the story - although children seem not to notice them the same as adults do).
I found the setting believable, the main characters were well developed and it was an interesting concept/storyline.

First of all I won this book via Goodreads First Reads.

I enjoyed this book. It was an interesting story and concept and even more interesting after finding out how the story is based on truth! I would recommend it to children and adults who are interested in fantasy. I also liked the Welsh setting which I thought was unusual.
