Fantasies Explored #3

Kinky Thinking

Rate this book
Book three in the Fantasies Explored series Things spiral out of control, and Suzie and Jack find themselves in danger, the business end of a gun pointing in their direction… Jack, an escort worker, hasn’t stopped thinking about Anna since he joined her and her husband, Kline, for a ménage. He’s longed for her, wished she was his, but doesn’t expect to ever see her again—although he lives in hope. To his surprise, she requests him as an escort again at a hotel called The Libra, alone this time, but he’s unable to comply with her very explicit wishes. Fellow escort worker Suzie also has a client at The Libra. Their meeting takes a turn for the worst and she stumbles home, alone and frightened and wishing she had her friend Jack to comfort her. The following night, when Suzie tells Jack about her experience, she doesn’t expect him to rush off to confront the client. Jack doesn’t expect to bump into Anna again either, much less for Suzie to be called out to a meeting with Anna. Anna asks Suzie to join her in a mad scheme to catch Suzie’s father, her ex and her attacker on a taped conversation about an illegal arms deal…
Kline is a Dom intent on satisfying his sub's every need. Anna is that sub, ready to receive whatever Kline gives her. They explore her fantasies one by one, including introducing a third person to their trysts-but is once with the sexy Jack enough for Anna? As Kline makes sure to bring Anna pleasure in the bedroom, it won't be long before Jack makes a reappearance-but can Kline handle sharing his beautiful wife for a second time?
Natalie Dae is a multi-published author in three pen names writing in several genres. Natalie writes mainly BDSM erotica. She loves a Dom/sub relationship and is fascinated by how it all works. The trust issue is the best thing about it for her, so creating characters who have to adopt trust is one of her priorities. “Watching my characters bloom under tuition is such a treat,” she says. “I find it such a privilege to be able to write about something that makes me learn something new with every book.” She lives with her husband and youngest daughter in England and spends her spare time reading—always reading!—and her phone, complete with Kindle app, is never far away. “I can't imagine not reading or writing,” she says. “It's a part of who I am. Without it I'd be more than a bit lost.” Natalie has many more BDSM tales swimming around in her head, so her workload for the future is very full. “What better way to spend a weekend than writing?” she says. “Saturdays are my main writing days, so I get up, open up a work in progress and rarely leave the desk. Unless I really have to!” She writes at weekends and is a cover artist/head of art in her day job. In another life she was an editor. Her other pen names are Geraldine O’Hara and Sarah Masters. Natalie also co-authors as Sarah Masters with Jaime Samms, and she co-authors with Lily Harlem under the name Harlem Dae.

Wow... After devouring the previous novellas in Dae's Fantasies Explored series, I can honestly say that Kinky Thinking was totally not what I was expecting. While the previous novellas were set around a single fantasy of Anna's, Kinky Thinking went more in depth into the lives of Anna, Kline, and especially Jack. It went beyond the sexual escapades of these three characters and dives into their background. There was even a hint of suspense. I loved Jack and Suzie. Jack comes to a realization with his "relationship" with Anna and comes full circle with his budding romance with Suzie. I liked the intrigue behind Suzie's character. The only element of this novella that I didn't care for was Anna. While she did bring closure for Jack, I wish she had just faded away into the background with Kline. Out of the three novellas, Kinky Thinking was my favorite. Loved it.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for a honest review.

Part 3 of the Fantasy Explored series.

Ah, now this story is written from Jack's perspective and Suzie's, a fellow escort. He's the male escort we met in book 1. He is in lust with a former client named Anna and gets an assignment to spend a night with her. It doesn't go as he expects. Suzie can relate to him and they talk in the office most evenings before they're called to their assignments. Well, one evening it all goes to shit. This is much better than the first two books in the series. But I still think there was some more story to be told.

Note: I think this one can be read as a standalone. You certainly don't need to read book 2 to follow the storyline.

~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~~
This by far was the best book. It dives into the lives of Kline and Anna as well as Jack and Suzie. I was in awe of Anna and the depths she was willing to go to. Jack really shined in this book as well. He stands up for Suzie and doesn't let anyone down.
The ending of this book was quite a revelation.
Excellent writing once again. The story-line of this series was absolutely spot on.
