David Adam, a well-known poet in the Celtic tradition, offers prayers of confession, adoration, intercession and thanksgiving, leading the reader through gates of spiritual discovery to worlds filled with mystery and the glory of God.
I have loved David Adam's books since I first came across them through my mother in law, many years ago, but somehow missed this one until I picked it up second hand. This is also a gem and I suppose my only hesitation in giving it 5/5 is the fact that it claims to be an introduction/reintroduction to prayer, using the traditional format of the communion service, but I suspect it would appeal more to officiants such as me looking for liturgical resources. That said some of the insights in the brief introductions to each section are more profound than those in much more substantial tomes on Prayer.
