It was hard for me to pick this book up and read it but whenever I did I was always interested. Knowing it was a tragedy, the ending was expected though. Shakespeare is wild but I appreciate him more now than I did in high school so I call that a win!
3.5 Both surprised and frustrated at my first Shakespeare read. Wonderful plot, unexpected at times, satisfyingly predictable at others. But, jeez, is it hard to comprehend! I had two English versions, a full cast narration, a Spanish translation and still needed to read Spark/Cliff Notes to understand some parts. How do teens in the US read things like this AND Jane Austen in secondary school? Language has changed so much. I bet I would have loveed a version with modern syntax/words
