Things are altering. Times are passing. Hearts are breaking. People are changing. Families are falling apart. Friendships are diminishing. Falling in love isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Megan Smith is a USA TODAY Bestselling author who’s a stay-at-home mom and writes whenever her little heart can. She lives in Southern New Jersey with her husband and three children. When she’s not chasing around her children she loves watching movies, reading, spending time with her family and watching beautiful sunsets.
A short and sweet story about Tanner and Rheas love. They grew up together as children and playmates and that love turned to more as they moved on throughout their lives. Beautiful story. It also recaps the last book as it happened simultaneously.
Short novel about Tanner and Rhea. A great couple who went through alot before they were finally happy. Enjoyable well written. Some tender moments in this one. Hoping to be able to get a book regarding Jeremy's story with his daughter Ava.
I loved this quick little novella of Tanner and Rhea's story! It was an awesome journey to see how the two came to be, and I loved that it told their take on the story we got from Knox and Jas story! I can't wait to read Jeremy's story!
It was nice to get a different view of some of the situations we learnt about in Finding Ours.
The closeness of the boys comes over so much more in this Novella.
We didn't really get much from Tanner and Rhea in Finding Us, but they did not have an easy time at the beginning.
It was nice to get to see Knox and Rex before their lives changed forever. Even though in his book Knox started out as an ass; you get to see why he was the way he was before he met Jasmine.
Taner and Rhea; friends since forever, were always there for each other, when their family life starts to unravel.
Their parents really screwed things up didn't they. They were so fortunate to have their closeness, and the friendships of Knox, rex, Jeremy and Cade.
The boys ere there when each of theym needed each other, when Taner and Rhea needed cover!! Also when Knox's life changed.
I loved Ava, Jeremy's daughter fits in so well with the firls of the grou. Touching scene between Rhea and Ava. Little Ava is such a sweetie. I hope we get more about Jeremy and Ava's story. He sounds like he needs to the love of a very special lady.
This book has the perspectives of Jasmine and Knox in there so now we do get to know what happened to them. I mentioned in the review about FINDING US (the first book in this series) that I was a bit disappointed that we never really found out about the other characters. Well, now we do :D
So, in a way this book was better than the first one in the series simply because now we really have a continuous story, we get to know how Jas and Knox get to know each other, how their whole relationship is being built up and how it comes to an end.
So, in a way I liked it more than the first one because of the whole plot and the writing style.
The characters, however, even though I really liked them, just annoyed me after a while ‘cause Knox just couldn’t tell Jas about his past and the big secret he has been keeping from her. He keeps moaning about the fact that if he tells her she’ll leave him. Well, dude, guess what if you didn’t talk to me for freaking FOUR weeks, I would leave you as well. Seriously, what an idiot…
So, I think the couple in book one of this series was just more adorable :D
All in all: Writing style: very good Plot: very good Characters: good
I absolutely loved this book and knocked it out in one sitting. Finding Ours is a prequel to Finding Us where we were introduced to the gang. I fell in love with Tanner and Rhea in Finding Us, and I was excited to hear that Megan was writing novella. In Finding Ours, we got to see how Rhea, Tanner and Knox's friendship as children and then how Tanner and Rhea fell in love.
Tanner is a total sweetheart and will melt your part, then we have Rhea who was a feisty girl, and Tanner seems to be the only one made for her. It was great to see Knox when he was happy before tragedy struck his life. After reading the pain that Knox endured, I didn't seem to think he was a prick like I did in Finding Us. I was more sympathetic to him and actually wanted to reach into the book and hug him.
This is a great series and I am dying to get Jeremy's story. To see Jeremy with his sweet little daughter melted my heart and I NEED his story. LIKE PRONTO MEGAN !!
Tanner and Rhea have always been best friends since they were younger same as their parents. As they get old things change and happen. Between both parents getting divorces dues to a break in trust and forbidden friendships happen as a result. Rhea and Tanner do everything they can to be together even if that means going behind their parent's backs. Years past and things change after close friends of their's lose family in a horrible tragedy they move to help them run things. Another few years pass and things are going well. They end up getting married and live happily ever after.
I loved this book. It gave us a insight on Rhea and Tanner's relationship but also a glance at Knox and Jasmine, and Rex and Summer but also the boys, Cade and Jeremy. I loved seeing their relationship evolve over the years. And the love for each other just get more and more. Thanks for another great book! Can't wait for more of Jeremy's story!
When I first read Finding Us, I wondered what was the back story of Rhea and Tanner? How did those two fall in love? I was so happy when Megan Smith wrote this novella. Rhea and Tanner's story begins in childhood. Born to parents who are best friends, neighbors and almost family Rhea and Tanner spend almost every moment together growing up. I hate reviews that spoil the story, but as you can guess there are some pretty epic moments that try to keep Rhea and Tanner apart. But their love is strong and worth the fight. You don't have to read Finding Us to read Finding Our however, I strongly recommend both books since they do tie into one another at points throughout the story. Both are wonderful reads and you won't be disappointed. Lastly, can I just add, I don't think I will EVER see a sucker again and not blush... wow.... Happy Reading!
Good prequel to this series. We get introduced to the characters in this series and well as getting Tanner and Rhea's story. They were next door neighbors and best friends as they grew so did their love for one another. They had all their "first" with one another. When a big riff between their parents almost keep them apart, they didn't let it. They found their happiness. Hope to get more from the rest of the characters in this series
This gives you a background of Tanned and Rheas love story and a look into What may come with Jeremy's story.
Tanner and Rhea were next door neighbors and shared the same birthday but were 3 years apart. Their parents were best friends so everything was always done as a group and done together. Until fate takes a hand and relationships are severed while others are formed. Life can't get these 2 down, because they will be together no matter what.
This book felt too rushed. If they had been in love with each other since they were kids, why did it take Tanner so long to ask her to marry him? Then the book just ends leaving me feeling unsatisfied. I liked how it gave some background information on Knox. I really would like books on Cade and Jeremy, especially with the way this book just ends
Superficial and carried along only by prepubescent sex. Not anything I would recommend to anyone. Lacked depth in the characters, the plot was weakly hanging from one sex scene to the next and there was very little building of suspense. Wish I didn't get it for a gift, but am glad I read it first before giving such a lame book.
This was really cute and exactly what I wanted from this story.
I did feel like a lot of the passages were recycled from Finding Us--which is fine because this book connected with that one later on--I just wish it was perhaps a little more original.
I loved Tanner and Rhea when I met them in Finding Us. This book was nice because I got to see their story as well as some of the background of the other story. Still anxiously awaiting Jeremy's story!
really enjoyed reading this book. Great storyline, nice background story, characters in the story reel you in, and keep you interested. can't wait for more. definitely recommending
So glad that the author wrote about this couple and where it all began for them! They had struggles to overcome and I really would like to read the next in this series.
it was nice to understand Tanner and Rhea's story. Watching them going from best friends to partners over the years. With all the things they endure along the way it is a wonder they survive.
Excellent read! Loved getting the full story of Rhea and Tanner as well as the backstory to the tragedy that changed all their lives. This is a short quick read that I highly recommend.
This gives me the details and back stories of how these friends and families support each other and last during those time to be better on the other side no matter how many years it takes
