Another great book about the Titanic. I know that there are hundreds, if not thousands of books on the subject, but not many of them really stand out. This however, is one of the better ones.

I think it was good and i thought it was very sad how they died and how they couldn't call for help our get help until finally someone came and helped them and how they spent so much time on building it and it just went to waste. It was very sad to how so many people couldn't survive with there family or how families had to deal with losing someone and i think they should of had a back up plan if the ship sunk.

This is a well written and beautifully illustrated book about the ill-fated liner. It covers both the loss of the ship, the human costs and the aftermath of the incident. It is lacking in some detail and is not entirely accurate when compared to more definitive texts however the inclusion of the photos and illustrations in a usable high quality format more than make up for this.

4 stars for content - 1 star for writing quality. This book needed a decent proofreader! The writer has a nice style and is capable of a nice turn of phrase but it was all spoiled by a plethora of grammatical errors.

I read this years ago, even before the DiCaprio/Winslet movie came out. The history is all there, I learned quite a bit.

The history is there and there are many, many photographs. I would have liked a more engaged author. Not such a cut and dry (very dry) delivery.
