Stacey Alexander runs a private detective agency in her pleasant hometown in Massachusetts. She has one supportive employee, two intrusive parents, and not nearly enough business. So it is not out of character for her to call on her potential clients in person.
Except her newest clients are not just people struggling with insurance claims or unfaithful spouses.
In need of her expertise are a prince held hostage by a dragon (or by a gang called The Dragons?), pig siblings with a construction company, a king who lives in hollow tree that encloses an ever-expanding kingdom, several royal stepmothers with bad intentions, and a sea-shell salesgirl with a sleeping disorder. And a pirate or two.
Stacey does not charge nearly enough per hour, don’t you agree?
Tongue planted firmly in cheek, Linsey Lanier knocks these characters off the shelves and twists all their plotlines. In five short stories chockablock with the friends of our childhoods, she weaves the 21st century love story of Stacey and her handsome prince, who does indeed turn into a frog, wield a sword, slay a dragon, and win his woman’s heart.
I have not been disappointed with a single work of Linsey’s and recommend her most highly.

This was a fun series to read. Cute and witty. Great way to spend an afternoon.
