This is a very old skool cookbook, first published in 1969, and then republished by Hippocrene Books. It contains over 230 traditional Turkish recipes that was written before Turkish food became a thing. This book has no colour photographs, and is chock full of old recipes that are simple to make. I first heard about Neçet Eren’s book as it was mentioned in Claudia Roden’s Mediterranean Cookery, which I got in the 1980s, and made her Revani and Lentil Stew. This book is not as inspiring as its counterparts of today, however if you are interested in traditional and simple recipes, it’s one you might like to have on your shelf.
