I've got good news and I've got bad news...
Edit: Her books are available on the Dutch, Australian, German and even Canadian Amazon sites but for some reason Amazon UK and US only offer one ebook and one audiobook.
The plot. As Earth becomes less and less habitable, captain Lilith Mae Madison embarks on a mission to the other side of the universe to try and find a suitable replacement planet. Things take a deadly turn however as time draws nearer for her and her crew to return home. It seems something or someone on her ship is out for blood.
The characters. The only character I really got to know well is Lily since the story is told from her POV. Even though other characters like Maggie and John play a vital role in the overall narrative, I never really got a clear picture of who they were. By the time I finished the book however their characters all made perfect sense.
The writing. Even this being her first book, Peach was already a master at tormenting her readers. She often switches between timelines and had me ready to scream in frustration when something major happened in the present and I turned the page only to get a flashback. Add to that bodies dropping like flies and the romance between Lily and Maggie and I couldn't turn those pages fast enough.
The special. Here's a sneaky little tidbit I found out about that only seems to have been included in the paperback. 47 is actually part of a trilogy with parts 2 and 3 taking part on New Earth but were never released. Will I be asking Angela about these other books? You bet your sweet ass I am!
The negative. This part doesn't have anything to do with the writing but with the availability of this book. In fact the majority of Angela's books are practically impossible to find online whether you're looking for an Ebook or paperback.
The verdict. What the hell am I supposed to do with my life now? Get ready to be bombarded with questions Ms. Peach because I need answers as to what you may been working on and when we can expect more books.

A special shout out to Carrie, who's currently reading one of Ms.Peach's books, ignites my curiosity to check her books out. Fortunately, Scribd has just the one I am looking for - 47. Anyone remember the movie Event Horizon? A 1997 Sci-fi horror, starring Laurence Fishburne and Sam Neil. I do and just thinking about it creeps the heck out of me. Is 47 as scary as Event Horizon? I'll let you decide.
The blurb did not mention romance, I was alright with that as lately the books I had been reading were heavy on angst and romance so I was more than happy to welcome the blood, guts and gore. Yes, 47 had some pretty dark themes and disturbing scenes and I enjoyed them tremendously.
B. U. T. the unexpected, gorgeously written, sexy -swoony - romance really blew me away. The chemistry and emotion between the hs were strong from the beginning, they allured me in as I couldn't get enough and needed more scenes of them as much as I needed Reese's peanut butter cups. They were in difficult circumstances and hurdles were their middle names but everything was bearable as long as they were together.
The unplanned / planned meet ups, the looks exchanged, the dialogues, their sexy times and even their work discussions brought a lot of depth to their relationship.
The love story between Captain Lilith Mae Madison and Maggie, the Head Biogeneticist should be read by anyone who loves romance with a side of thriller.

This is quite a bit different from the other novels I've read by Peach and it doesn't have the darkness but it was just as engrossing. Lilith Madison is the captain of an exploratory ship sent through a wormhole in the hopes of find another habitable planet after earth was hit by numerous disasters. It's not long before they are due to return home through another wormhole when things start going wrong. It starts with a gruesome murder which is followed by some of the systems failing. Lilith desperately needs to figure out what's going on in order to save her crew and ship.
As usual things don't go the way I expect them to. This is a much gentler (in spite of the murder) and sensitive novel. It's told from Lilith's point of view in first person in a non-linear timeline. There were one or two places that the timeline didn't make sense but for the most part it was a clever unfolding of the story. The best thing about Peach's writing is that I never know what's going to happen. There is very little explicit sexual content and no explicit m/f content.

Angela Peach was on my list of authors I needed to read so I’m glad I finally listened to an audiobook. Captain Lilith Madison is far out in space with her small crew trying to mine some information that will help save a dying Earth. However, in order to return to their planet, they have to time their ship’s passage with the precise opening of a certain wormhole. In the meantime, strange and deadly things are happening aboard that seem to be sabotaging everyone’s safety.
What I liked best about the book are the characters, especially the Captain. There’s something about Lilith that tugs and I wanted to know why. From the beginning, you know something is wrong but her behavior and her relationships are compelling. In the midst of mystery and mayhem, there is a dynamite love affair between Lilith and Maggie, the head biogeneticist, that rivals long book romances. The story has a melancholy feel and the timelines twist and turn until the crazy ending. Short and sparse but I very much enjoyed the book. I’ll be reading more of her stories.

47 is a provocative whodunit which takes place on the spaceship Phoenix, as the crew awaits the opening of a wormhole so they can return to their own solar system. This is more a love story, between Lilith (or Lily) and Maggie with John as a complication, that just happens to take place on a spaceship, than it is an actual sci-fi story. And speaking of complications, there are computer glitches and malfunctions throughout the ship which don't make sense and are hampering their ability to make their "connection". It turns into one wild ride.
As for the Audible version, there's something desperately wrong with the audio production. It's echoey, like she's reading from a dark cavern. It's also staticky, so the narrator's Ss are slurred. This was distracting and problematic. For example, it took me a good while to realize the character's name was John, not Tom, because the words were so muffled.
And while we're discussing the audio, in my opinion, the narrator would be much better suited to portray a gossipy character in a chick-lit novel. Her manner and accent are much too casual to play a military commander of a spaceship, though she did a decent job.

This is a sci-fi space romance thriller kind of story. The problem i had with it is that it was more romance than sci-fi space as well as predictable thriller. You get to a stage in the reading knowing that the killer must be a mirage. Then the scifi was so little, for those of us that picked this up because of it....you'd be disappointed by the holes in the story on their scientific assets and knowhow

A really captivating novel almost a hybrid of Red Dwarf meets Alien. I particularly like the format, starting as a newspaper report and then continuing as a diary.
The unexpected and unique ending was extremely well thought out and executed. The last sentence of the novel could have been lifted from a really cheesy sci-fi comic, "but it worked"!!! (11 letters).
This novel keeps you entertained from beginning to end, so, if you are looking for a novel to take you out of this world for a few hours, then you won't be disappointed with 47. Ms Peach has written a really impressive, easy to read yet satisfying and refreshing novel which I for one thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend.

Murder mystery meets sci-fi thriller meets lesbian romance on board a spaceship. This is a great blend of genres that only Angela Peach can pull off. If you want a lesbian book that challenges your idea of what a romance should be, this is it. Definitely a one of a kind read.

I enjoyed this somewhat surreal sci-fi murder mystery that takes place on a spaceship that is waiting for a wormhole to open so that the ship can return home. It’s an interesting mix of complicated relationships, space exploration, intrigue, romance and survival. The narrators British accent made for an interesting listen, though the recording did seem to cause her S’s to slur a little. This was an entertaining audiobook with a surprise twist at the end.
