The scientifically realistic "superstorm" scenario developed and published by the United States Geological Survey has been adapted as a story line that includes the author's modern day applications of emergency management principles with a prepper community slant. Good story, leaves you wanting more! Based on an event that happened in the 1860's, an Atmospheric River storm hits California as terrorists are hitting power and water supplies around the country. The book follows several new and experienced "preppers" and their experiences leading up to and in the event. Even though these books by Mr. Foster are listed under Fiction, there are so many tips and tricks in the books that you don't realize how much you're actually learning! His writing style is "comfortable Southern" and always leaves me wanting more!

Great prepper fiction

I am such a huge fan of Ron Foster and his books! This one was no different. Facts and products and prepping tips woven into a story relevant to our daily lives and possible catastrophic events. Do yourself a favor and purchase this book. Then use it as another guide to preparing yourself and your family for possible emergency situations. Highly recommend!

I really, really enjoy Ron Foster's books and this was no exception. It was a different view for me, as it is set in California and being on the east coast, an arkstorm is something I never had to think about. As usual, Ron makes me think about what I would do in this situation.
