This book is a tool for navigating the social and political minefields of the 21st century - providing educators with ways to move your students beyond simply "expanding awareness" to actual service and activism. Consciousness-raising is recognized as a "starting point" rather than an endpoint for women to harness and enact their political agency. This text offers many opportunities and much inspiration ranging from self-reflection to collective political action. I highly recommend this book to any educator who is interested in expanding the opportunities and visions for girls and women.
