I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I like the premise of this book and it's very well executed. Through a murderer on the run, we relive the past three decades in India. The story captures the good, the bad, and the in-between of the main character's journey. And he sure did live an exciting life.
From someone accused of murder, he became an actor. But his journey is not a straight line.
He is not religious but gets to see many religions from proximity. He is inherently a selfish person but marries twice. Not that he cares about either of his families. In his way, he is struggling to find his rightful place in the world. He is running from the police and himself. And in the end, he couldn't run forever. The past catches up on him.
Overall, it's an intriguing tale that is sad and oddly satisfying, too. If you are someone who enjoys stories that are a bit of wild cards, then this is for you.
