This is a great introduction and set of best practices for content strategy. It was comprehensive, useful, and cleverly written. One section outlined a set of hypothetical problems a company, content strategist, or technical writer might face, and gave guidance for value-adding and cost-saving practices to resolve them. The numbers seemed (ahem) EXTREMELY speculative, and there wasn't much explanation for why or how they broke down the costs the way they did, but the problems were interesting thought experiments regardless.

My one complaint was that the authors made a set of assumptions about a technical writer's work environment that seem dated from a 2015 perspective--that we're all working on editorial teams, that we have to cater to the needs of print and PDF documentation, and that engineers like to mark shit up in email or on paper.

Great introduction to content strategy, easily understandable for beginners. I particularly appreciated the writing style - approachable, funny and engaging. Definitely not a stuffy textbook!
