This is a very old book, reprinted as a special edition for 150 year anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of LaSalette. I came across it as it was in my late godparents’ possessions. It was certainly different, but of all the literature on LaSalette, I would recommend it.

I’ve fostered a curiosity about Marian Apparitions for most of my life, and LaSalette, with its weeping Madonna and roses of every color, has always captured my attention. I appreciated this little book because it gives a first hand account of the events of the apparition through the eyes of an English Bishop who, upon making a pilgrimage to LaSalette in 1854, became convinced of its veracity and wanted to spread the word. I felt like I was experiencing the place and the visionaries through his eyes, and enjoyed the appendixes with additional information also. Equal parts technical information about the apparition and storytelling.
