Ancient Memory

Rate this book
Alan Templeton, sergeant of detectives in the small city of Salt Lake, has a mess on his hands. He and his team are investigating two series of murders that he is convinced are somehow linked. They are very unusual, however. In some of the killings--ritualistic sacrifices--there is no evidence left behind by the murderers, while on the others there is an orgy of evidence that makes no sense. He has to solve them quickly, before more people fall victim to the grisly crimes. Chance Black, a man who is finding it hard to cope with life due to his hideous appearance, is suddenly saddled with Felice, a young woman who is convinced that she is in danger from the cult-like following she had been involved in. Creirwy Edwards, the strikingly beautiful leader of the cult Felice has fled, is convinced that she is a Goddess from ancient times. Worse yet, she is also convinced that Chance is her long lost brother, Morfran. First Novel in the series, Out of the Mist If you enjoy Dean Koontz or Patterson, you will enjoy this book.

About the author

Arthur Roberg

3 books15 followers
Arthur Roberg has pursued and been successful with many forms of art, sculpture, painting, photography, to name a few. Also, being a humanitarian, he has focused much of his time in helping others as well as becoming an energy worker. His hobbies include getting dressed up in armor, of his own manufacture, and fighting in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), an organization that recreates the middle ages.
One thing he has always excelled at, due to his great imagination, is storytelling. As a game master in various games, he would often attract large groups (at one time he had thirty people in his house in multiple rooms, playing at the same time).
After the recession in 2008 he closed down his design firm and started writing. Having heard that a writer has to write at least a million words before they become good enough to be read, he spent most of a year "getting them out of the way", and then the next three years living as a hermit, doing nothing but getting his stories committed to written form.
Arthur presently resides in West Valley, Utah, a neighboring city to Salt Lake City. He plans, however, to soon start travelling the world on his motorcycle, meeting new places and experiencing new friends.

I received this book from a Goodreads Giveaway, I hadn't heard of this author when I went in for the competition, I just read the info and it sounded like my kind of book so when I started this I had no idea what I would think of this book and the writer. I can tell you that I am so so glad that I won this, Arthur Roberg is an extremely talented writer and I wish that I had come across his books sooner.

The storyline to this book is so imaginative and I wonder how on earth the writer came up with this concept, it really is like nothing I have ever read before and I am now dying to read the next book, luckily I won the first three books in the series so I will be starting on the next book soon and I cant wait to see what happens. I don't want to give information or too much detail on this book as trust me you don't want me to give away the surprises and twists and turns that complete this book! The way he writes pulls you into tis world of an action packed fantasy so you don't want to leave!
The characters in this book is awesome, they are all very complex and have their own unique personalities, my favourite definitely has to be Chance, as you are reading the book you are learning about him just as he is learning about himself... He is a strong character full of empathy and a big heart that draws him to help others in need with no thought for himself, there is something very compelling about him and the way this author describes each character, you feel like you know them and you are there experiencing all the thoughts, fears and emotions along with them.

Arthur Roberg is so so talented and I will definitely be spreading the word about his work and definitely following it as I need to read this whole series!
