Experience (Paperback) by Ron Briggs When I was handed this book by the author, I was shyly told that it’s just a group of stories. I had known Ron was going to write a book, so i was surprised that he had already written a book. I placed the book on my bed-stand, waiting for a moment when i could read it. I read a lot, so it took a long while, maybe too long a while to crack the light green cover. What surprised me was this soft spoken gentleman had survived some impossible accidents, or otherwise dangerous situations. Although he was enlisted during Vietnam, his reckless adventures were not those of a solider. As a child he had many harrowing near death experiences. And I think I found someone who could beat me on sibling rivalry, hanging your sister off the two story deck pails to pouring paint on your infant brother. One I am amazed after reading this book that Ron is a live. Two I am surprised that this quiet sweet gentle man has had that adventurous a life. If you want to be amazed by true stories I would suggest this book. If you want to show kids that the olden days, you know before all the video games were not boring, or that you can entertain yourself in the wilds of a small town, this is the book for you. If you just want to find the true story of You would not believe it happened this is your book. Congratulations Ron, I have more questions for you...
This was so well written. I wish it were longer. As a good work of art does, this really plays with the emotions. Anyone who grew up in the 50's certainly can relate to Ron's adventures on some level.
