Final instalment in the erotic trilogy by KD Grace from Xcite Books, winner of ETO Best Erotic Book Brand 2010 & 2011
Obsessed with revenge, KENNET LUCIAN makes a deal with a demon, a deal he comes to regret when he meets TARA STONE, head of the Elemental Coven, and a powerful witch with a desire for revenge at least as great as his. Even though the attraction between the two is magnetic and the lust combustive, Kennet must betray her to accomplish his goal, which is ultimately her goal as well; to put a final end to the demon, Deacon’s, reign of terror. But can Tara trust the man who has wormed his way into her heart and the heart of the Elemental Coven? Can she trust LUCIA, the demon with whom Kennet is allied, a demon with her own agenda. The path to Deacon’s destruction is far from clear, and the price that must be paid to be free of him forever may be too high, even for Tara Stone.
For K D Grace, penning a good tale is a physical act. When she’s not writing, K D is veg gardening or walking. Her creativity is directly proportional to how much soil is under her fingernails or how quickly she wears out a pair of walking boots. She’s having a mad affair with a pair of kettle bells at her local gym and an even madder affair with a stainless steel pole in the pole fitness studio just across the street. She’s fascinated with mythology and fairy tales, which inspires many of her stories. She loves to read. She loves anything that gets her out of doors. But she loves writing a story best of all.
Voted ETO Best Erotic Author of 2014, K D is the author of sixteen novels and multiple novellas and short stories for multiple publishers. She also writes romance under the name Grace Marshall. At present she is excitedly publishing her Medusa’s Consortium urban fantasy series. The first three novels, beginning with In The Flesh, are now available.
Elemental Fire is the third and final part of Kd Grace's excellent Lakeland Heatwave Series.
Carrying on four months after the end of Part 2 (Riding the Ether),- the gorgeous Anderson (I just love this character), is still trapped in the ether, the demon Deacon's menacing presence is looming over everything, and Tara Stone is only just holding her coven together.
The world of sex magic is brilliantly bought to life, as Kd Grace entwines us on a journey that is both sexy, intriguing, and at times, spine tinglingly terrifyingly and thrilling.
Elemental Fire introduces us to new characters- including the revenge obsessed Kennet Lucian- who'll stop at nothing to end Deacon's reign of terror- including joining forces with a rather delicious fire demon...
I'll say no more, for I would hate to spoil this excellent series for you.
Once again Kd Grace has produced a work of art encapsulated in the written word. The Lakeland Trilogy is a must read.
So far in my review of Xcite Books novels I’ve been able to maintain a degree of professionalism, providing you with a slightly personal yet fundamentally non-biased opinion of the erotic manuscripts kindly forwarded to me… With, KD Grace’s Elemental Fire however, the “cool points” (as they say) flew out the window. From a very early age I’ve tenderly nursed a passion for anything remotely Carpathian or of the mythological occult. Whilst my classmate’s daydreamed of being in Bucks Fizz I was diligently building a shrine to my VHS copy of Hammer Horror’s The Satanic Rites of Dracula (1974) starring the then pin-up, soon to be national treasure, Joanna Lumley. This, along with my penchant for Mummy Seymour’s collection of Mills & Boon romantic fiction, clearly defined my love for a large slice of steamy mysticism. And Elemental Fire, with its romantic love letters to the Lake District, lusty fire demons, withering witches and revenge obsessed sex magic had me from page two. The third and final installment of The Lakeland Heatwave Erotic Trilogy opens with an establishing back track seven years. KD Grace exercises her dulcet repartee like literary foreplay, reminding and welcoming the reader back into the already established esoteric Dream World where currently, protagonist and antihero, Kennet Lucian lies in mortal peril; preparing to enter a covenant with a fiercely sensual fire demon. And from thereon in the delicious narrative delicately unfolds to reveal a hauntingly erotic tale of revenge, regret, betrayal, passion and romance. The unique beauty of the story manifests itself in the fact that a conversation on the very real subject of love, lost love, and the concept of loving again occurs before any penetrative act of intercourse; and this insight into the main characters motivation, thought process and inner conflict made him utterly believable and somewhat attractive! That being said, this novel contains the most sensuous sequences of lovemaking I’ve yet read in my position as Erotic Fiction Reviewer. Evidence of this can be found at Chapter Ten where, Cassandra the succubus and Anderson, the ghost-turned-flesh share an impassioned embrace that plays out at an excruciatingly arousing pace; and in the process allows readers to bask in the ethereal ambience; reminding this erotic critic simultaneously of character driven cinematic masterpieces such as, Bernardo Bertolucci’s Last Tango in Paris (1972) and environmentally atmospheric Eastern gems, such as, Noribumi Suzuki’s notorious sexploitation thriller Star of David: Hunting for Beautiful Girls (1979) which pays as much attention to natures beauty as to its brutally misogynistic subject matter. Indeed, in Elemental Fire KD Grace indulges us with her sumptuous descriptions of picture postcard backdrops, gratifies ones desire for fantastical yet convincing, totally original fiction and satisfies the ravenousness appetite for erotic text with tantalizing aptitude. Truly, my only regret upon finishing this novel was that I hadn’t read the first two editions beforehand! In summation; Sweeties says, The Lakeland Heatwave Series is a must, must read!..
This has been one wild ride with this coven and their sexy shenanigans. Led by the powerful and long-lived Tara Stone, they've creatively juiced themselves up with sex time and time again as they've tried to destroy Deacon and take back their lives. Things are coming down to the wire now and the Tara and her group have to figure out how much they're willing to sacrifice to end it all.
Kennet and Tara make an intriguing couple. Throw Lucia into the mix (and I like the idea of a threesome without a third body), and they become downright incandescent when they get down to business. I like how free the entire coven is with their affection -- not just sexually, but their love and understanding of one another -- and that they encourage the various partnerships that have sprung up. There is no jealousy between them, just love and a very healthy appreciation of how they can pleasure one another and build the power they need to fight Deacon.
Speaking of which, Deacon is one creepy dude. His ability to overpower one's sense of self and make them feel equal parts arousal and fear - his ability to tap into the Dream World and twist dreams and nightmares - is downright unsettling. Creepy bad guy is creepy, is all I'm going to say.
You know, it's going to be hard to say goodbye to this sex-charged coven but I liked the way everything turned out. The entire series has been nicely plotted and wonderfully naughty. Tara and company work hard and they play hard. If sometimes the work and play meld together into one heaving, moaning mass, well, lucky them.
The third and final instalment in the Lakeland Heatwave trilogy, this book combined action, threats, a demon, sexy connections and a coven of witches who are as engaging and entertaining as they are amusing. Although I have not read the first two in the series, this book was easy to follow along, and the characters are so well defined that their positions are easy to understand and there weren’t too many places where I felt I must read these in order.
This is a coven that recharges their power with sexual activity – all celebrated and openly displayed for all to celebrate. The pairings are super-hot and sexy, with detail and sensuality that brings a tingle to the reader, as well as feeds the general love and affection that all members of the coven display to one another.
The demon, Deacon, is able to infiltrate their lives, dreams and twist their self-perceptions: the unique twist and use of demonic powers make him incredibly creepy and unsettling as the bad guy. His traits and depiction do make this one bad guy you are happy to see defeated, and instantly puts you on the side of Tara in her quest to defeat him.
I now need to go buy the first two in the series, for I loved the ending (and no I won’t tell you), but the last of the series was so good – I need to see the first two.
I received an eBook from the author for purpose of honest review for the Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
As the final book in Lakeland Heatwave Trilogy, an exciting and sexy journey comes to an end in an action-packed story that races to an immensely satisfying conclusion. Tara Stone and her sexy coven are back for a final battle against the demon, Deacon, and will need all the power they can get to do so. The way they gain that power is through sex, featuring every kind of coupling possible. While these scenes are steamy they also reflect a sense of family and support for one another. And with a villain like Deacon they'll need all the help they can get as he's capable of entering other's dreams and twisting perceptions to weaken his adversaries. Tara and Kennet don't trust each other but can't deny their attraction. They're a powerful and compelling couple and I found myself fully immersed in their lives. They'll have to work through their issues as only together can they defeat Deacon. As the story deals with their distrust and lust, the action races to an all out war and a satisfying conclusion to this story and the entire series. I was sad this ended but look forward to what Ms. Grace has planned next.
"I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review" Holy Cow what a way to finish the trilogy! I had emailed K.D. in this book because I thought I had it all figured out. Well lets just say I got if half right. Your mind is all over the place thinking its one thing but then she throws you off and its another. (Mind Blown in a good way) Elemental Fire was a perfect ending. I don't know how she topped the last one but KD so did. I am kind of sad that there will be no more but I know she has many other wonderful books out there for me to read... This trilogy is worth every penny! Take a chance and read this trilogy.
