The story opens with young Jessica, preparing to go off to college, glad to leave her overly critical parents and her not – so – romantic boyfriend behind. As she stood in the receiving line at her new sorority, HE walked in the room and everything else faded away. With his beautiful blue eyes he had her hooked. His name was Alex Cord and he was unforgettable - to many women. Will he be her downfall or her hero?
Can Alex Cord do anything wrong? He seems to have a Midas Touch, both in the boardroom, and the bedroom. Hearts Can Change in Time by Ron Hanlon is a fresh take on the contemporary romance/adventure / larger than life hero theme. Alex Cord inherited his money and the companies that made it. Of course, through his business acumen, he has taken his wealth and business to new heights! He even has his own Guy Friday, Samuel, who actually reminds me of Bruce Wayne’s Alfred in his ability to go with the flow, is always there, always on top of things and loyal to a fault, but, only because Alex earned it !
Alex’s biggest problem seems to be his babe magnetism. He just can’t help helping a damsel in distress, just can’t turn his back on a beautiful woman, but still, he doesn’t seem to be able to find that one special gem, and trust me, he’s trying. Will he ever discover true love, the kind that all of the money in the world can’t buy?
Hearts Can Change in Time was a fun read about a larger-than-life, not quite James Bond kind of guy and the relationships in his life. Sometimes the dialogue seemed a little unnatural, but each scene was fully colored in and the scenes were many, varied and well-thought out! There was no scrimping on the details! The ending did take me by surprise as, once again, Alex unknowingly came to the rescue of another fair damsel!

This story has much more than just hot romance. It's about Alex Cord who is a rich business man who seems to do everything right and he reaps good benefits from all he does.The author, Mr. Hanlon describes everything in great detail.. It seems the author has done his research homework or he has a wide array of experience.Alex seems to be a magnet that attracts women and his love life is quite busy. H e has a personality that women seem to be attracted to.And there are many women. The book is definitely a page turner.Every time you turn the page you meet a new character and new twists and turns. The author wrote about various places in a very descriptive manner. Some of the things that happen just show how dumb people can be and how they are their own downfall. Not Alex Cord, he seems to keep it all together and in control. He has a buddy, Samuel who seems to be running things a little more than you would think. Cord lives this paradise life but will he find his dream girl and if he does will it last? The book was a good read, a little steamy in places but the descriptions,and the many places visited is quite interesting. The end will definitely surprise you an make you want more. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Hearts Can Change In Time is a wonderfully hot and steamy contemporary romance. I was sucked in almost immediately and didn’t want to put the book down. Unfortunately, life kept getting in the way and forced me to several times. Even though I had to step away several times, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I was constantly wondering what Alex was going to do next. There were so many unanticipated events, simply saying twists and turns just doesn’t give it justice. I was completely captured by this story. The way Mr. Hanlon uses detail to describe in this book is amazing! You can clearly see each character and really connect with them. This is another book that makes you want to jump in and fix everything for the characters just like they were your friends. I love being able to connect with characters. Bravo Mr. Hanlon, not very many authors can do that for me! 5 Stars!

Alex Cord is a player. He’s got the looks, the money, the right connections and the power to drive women wild! What women wouldn’t want to be in his little black book? He must have graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Sexual Seduction! This was a wild ride but flowed very smoothly as you follow a young man during the 60s as he inherits an oil fortune and becomes a tycoon with his knowledge and drive to be on the cutting edge at that time in the business. Women knew him as quite the gigolo, but most of them could care less if they only had him for one night.
He has some pretty serious affairs with a few ladies and two of those become quite tragic, but not due to his fault. Alex is forced to go through some heavy emotional issues but will finally come to find what he was really looking for. I was so thrilled to see the adventures of Alex Cord continue on with the sequel, Promises. I can honestly say that this book not only has the elicit sexual scenes which are amazing, but has the depth of a great plot and irresistible characters. Well done, Ron Hanlon!

Hearts Can Change Time – Is a fabulous novel with steamy romance and exciting thrill. The main character Alex Cord is a Tycoon who inherited his fortune from his grandfather’s Oil and Gas Company. He then made smart business decisions adding on to his existing fortune.
He was rich, handsome and young. Women found him irresistible and he in turn got involved with many of them. but never made a serious commitment. He treated each one of them with kindness and care but he was not ready to be tight down. What I like about Alex is that he was not a liar he let the women know that the relationship was not going to have a happy ending.
He had plans that would make his life even better and increase his fortune. The love scenes are wonderfully written and the author gives the reader’s mind room to let their imagination take them to another exciting lever.
Ron Hanlon steers the reader through twists and turns adding a detail view of the life and goals of the other characters in the story. I loved the plot and I found it hard to put the book down.

Finished this in one sitting yes, it’s that addictive.
The pacing was quick, the scenes sharp, and the emotional beats landed perfectly. I loved the tension between love and ambition.
There was never a dull moment, and the ending had a great twist.
A binge-worthy romantic adventure with style.
