Marta's cold on the retail holiday season, but warming to the hot hunk from home office, even if he loves Christmas.
Marta Holt hates Christmas and all the fuss that goes with it, which isn’t a good way to feel about the biggest money making season in her chosen career field, retail management.
Linc Blanchard’s family owns the chain of retail stores and shows up in Denver to make sure that Marta, the temporary manager, doesn’t affect the bottom line of that store’s Christmas season with her lack of appreciation of his favorite holiday.
Mix in Claude, an elf with attitude that has been sent into the human world to help Santa correct the mistake he made with Marta when she was a little girl and you have a hot, humorous fantasy to relieve the stress of your holidays.
Award winning author, Lizzie T. Leaf, started life in Kansas, continued her growing years in North Carolina, and currently shivers through the winters in Colorado. She has numerous e-Books of varying lengths and her first print novel, Struck by Lightning, won dual 2007 Beacon awards. Not a bad track record for a gal who came out of the closet with the dream to write after she turned fifty. Her current works fall into two categories…erotic contemporary or paranormal romance. Her first historical, Making Christmas, through the Aurora Regency line at Musa Publishing won the LRC Best Historical and is a finalist for Best Novealla in the Aspen Gold. Beyond Magic, released through Passion in Print Press, the first book in the Magical Love Series won the 2012 Award of Excellence and is a finalist in the Aspen Gold. When not writing, traveling, reading, gardening and family consume her time.
A light hearted christmas tale. Santa and his head elf are worried about Marta, who lost her christmas spirit when she was 6 (and the reason was quite funny) but now she is the toy department manager in a store, its affecting her job performance. Santa, Claude and the big boss's nephew Linc all conspire to turn Mrs Scrooge into a christmas girl again. Humourous escapades, a touch of magic and sexy interludes between Marta and Linc. A fun light read, it should have been great but sometimes it felt a bit disjointed for me, so keeping it to OK.
