Simple explanations.

As an English as a second language speaker this book was extremely easy to comprehend, it was simply and concise. I had always try to find books that would help me with the writing of Essays in English and this one is one of the best so far, because it puts in plain language what it's expected and what it's not, without circumventing the topic so much.
