Enricher Noah Bishop and his partner Madelyn Girard have been given the task of helping billionaire Gabriel Fleming embrace his Dominant side. They will teach him all the in and outs of the BDSM lifestyle, and the proper ways to treat a submissive. Gabriel will find what’s been missing in his life with their help, but will he be able to keep his heart safe, and not fall for Madelyn when he knows her heart belongs to Noah? While at Pleasure Isles, Krista, a former student of Noah and Maddie, returns with plans to kidnap Maddie. Krista knows that Maddie can endure more pain than the normal human being, and she wants to be the one to push her beyond her endurance, to see how much pain she can inflict. Noah and Gabriel will come together to save the woman they both love, but will they save her in time?
Empowered is the third installment of the Sexual Magic series, and not having read the first two, it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. In the story Noah and Maddie are a part of a council, but there is no explanation as to what the council is, or what purpose it holds. Noah is an enforcer of this council, but again, enforcer of what? The plot line has merit, and the story has a lot of potential, there just needs to be some background if it’s to stand on its own. A reader who enjoys the "harder" side of BDSM, and who reads the first two in the series, will enjoy this story.
