(THIS SCI-FI/FANTASY ROMANCE NOVEL IS OVER 72K AND WRAPS UP THE PHANTOM WARRIORS AND ATLANTEAN'S QUEST SERIES'. THE STORY CAN BE READ WITHOUT READING PREVIOUS BOOKS, BUT IT INCLUDES REFERENCES FROM BOTH SERIES.)
Taylor Shelley has always had the worst taste in men. When her latest ex turns out to be part of the Russian mob, she’s offered the chance to start a new life…on another planet.
No more bad boys for her.
Hades, The Dark King is both feared and rejected due to his mixed Atlantean/Phantom heritage. As King of the Phantoms, he rules his land via blood and claw. Hades doesn’t have time to watch over a human female, even one as enticing as Taylor, but a debt is a debt. If keeping an eye on the woman for a week will clear the slates, then he’ll do it.
Taylor isn’t sure how a cage-fighting half-breed ended up on the throne, but she wants nothing to do with this royal bad boy.
What starts as an obligation, ends in a game of seduction where the players are evenly matched. There’s only one rule to remember when playing with the Dark King—the house ALWAYS wins.
*** This romance contains mature situations and language.

I love the entire Phantom Warrior series but I found The Dark King to be the best of all the story. The storyline was interesting and flowed very well. Well written. The characters held their own uniqueness throughout the story. I really hated to have it end. Highly recommend this entire series.
Good book. Opal got what she deserves but I wish Taylor was smarter, all the signs were there that Opal hated & would never do any thing nice for her so Opal shouldn't have been a shocker for her but it was. Women like her are never nice unless they are up to something & Opal handing Taylor to the Slavers proves it.
Great read. I enjoyed that Taylor got a redemption. From the last book I read, she was a ditzy dancer who allowed herself to make mistakes...but she was a really complex character as was Hades. Great story that will entertain you from start to finish!!
Back to the quality of the first two in the series, really enjoyed this book. Interesting twists, betrayals and great sex. Loved the emersion of all the characters from this series and the Phantom Warriors series.
