Another great book in the Specky Magee series. In this book, Specky is preparing for the State Grand Final with the Victorian AFL team and his Grandpa turns up. He also has a new coach and maths teacher that throws a few curve balls in his life.

There were a couple of incidents in this book that were resolved quite quickly. For a couple of them, it would have been interesting to see how they could have been resolved, however there may be more in the next book.

There are also some wonderful insights into accepting people, including teachers and coaches, on their own personalities and merits, instead of assuming how they should act. It's a great message to give to kids.

I am really enjoying this series and am looking forward to seeing what's next for Simon and his friends.
