Maybe This Time

IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE PAST?

They've been together through the ages - whether it was Egypt at the time of the pharaohs, Regency England, or modern-day America. But New Orleans computer analyst Kevan Buchanan and ambitious businesswoman Alyssa Cameron haven't even begun to fulfill their fate, destiny, karma, or whatever you call the mysterious force that makes them true soulmates. It isn't as if they're afraid of commitment; it's more like something always seems to come between them.

Now they've been given one last chance to get it right. All Kevan has to do is use the crystal amulet he recently inherited to journey back through time.

Maybe this time, he'll figure out what went wrong. Maybe this time, he'll find the power to reinvent history and be with Alyssa forever.

Maybe this time, it's love.

Enjoyed reading about the main characters living in different times yet not knowing each other. Liked how hints about the future and their tasks were presented thru the Elder. Present time was not my favorite but I loved them both in earlier settings. The prehistoric period started their relationship and then I truly enjoyed them in Scotland in 1100. Alyssa was such a charming person in that period - so caring, confident, and yet with a sense of humor - her ability with a sword and her horrible skills as a cook. England in 1800 showed the humorous fun side of both. Kevan was such a great person with the right amount of humor and caring. Although the final time in Present day was my least favorite as I did not care for their personalities while on the island. Enjoyed the final twist that involved the last task.
