I had been waiting for "King 2" by Tremayne Johnson to drop as soon as I finished part one.So when I heard the long awaited sequel was out, I had to check it out!I must say I was not disappointed! It picks up a few years after the events of part one. The king is dead and Jayson "Jay-Roc" Washington is a man on a mission. Wanting nothing more to avenge his best friend's death,he will stop at nothing to find his killer....even if that means putting his own life on the line.
"King 2: Blood on the Crown" was one wild ride from beginning to end. It didn't neccessarily play out like I thought it would but it was a good read none-the-less.I loved the information about the gold. There were a few errors but nothing that took away from the story. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
I was so excited to read this book because I was so in love with King and distraught at the way it ended. Although I enjoyed this read, I never really built a relationship with the characters and because of that they didn't evoke any type of emotion in me. The relationship between Malikah and Rahmeek was depressing and I'm happy about his fate. The trip to Guyana came out of nowhere and added a totally different element to the story and for me personally it wasn't a good thing. I still have a few unanswered questions, especially regarding Alana and I'm hoping everything will come together in the next book.
