Into the Unknown: True Stories of a Pilot Cheating Death

Rate this book
If you met Ron Carlson, CEO of a Chicago-based architectural firm, you wouldn't necessarily think of him as the daredevil type. But Ron's life has been a series of death-defying exploits. Into the True Stories of a Pilot Cheating Death chronicles a few of Ron's most brazen endeavors, from flying to the high Arctic and being stalked by polar bears to bailing out of an old World War II bomber before it crashes.

Ron undertakes the adventures in these tales to satisfy his unrelenting curiosity. He survives them due to his ability to plan for every possible contingency. Each narrow escape reveals valuable lessons about navigating our lives—and daring to live our dreams.

About the AuthorsRON CARLSON is the founder of PBD, Inc., one of the leading corporate design firms in Chicago. In addition to being a registered architect and retired bush pilot, Ron is an inventor, author, speaker, and explorer. He currently has a history channel on YouTube, Faces of the Forgotten, where he travels around the world from his homes in northern Wisconsin and south-central Arizona.

WALTER G. MEYER is the cowriter or ghostwriter of six nonfiction books, including The Respectful Leader, an Amazon-bestselling and Axiom Award-winning business fable. His critically acclaimed novel Rounding Third deals powerfully with the topic of teen bullying. Originally from Pittsburgh, he holds a degree from the School of Communications at Penn State.

I will say I'm a fan of faces of the forgotten. Ron has a way of storytelling. When he mentioned he was working on a book I got excited as I'm a big lover of books. I'm glad I was finally able to read it. Like I said, Ron has a way of storytelling and his writing goes right along with that. I got hooked on the stories. Definitely worth the read. Really cool I'm the first review on here. For anyone reading this be sure to check out his YouTube channel "Faces of the Forgotten".
