Kristy Robinett (Livonia, MI) is a psychic medium and author who began seeing spirits at the age of three. When she was eight, the spirit of her deceased grandfather helped her escape from a would-be kidnapper, and it was then that Robinett realized the Other Side wasn't so far away. As an adult, she was often called upon by the local police department to examine cold cases in a new light and from a different angle. She gained a solid reputation for being extremely accurate at psychical profiling and giving new perspectives on unsolved crimes. It was then that she began working with a variety of law enforcement agencies, attorneys and private investigators around the United States, aiding in missing persons, arson, and cold cases. Her psychic detective work was recognized in a new series on the ID Network, Restless Souls.
Robinett teaches psychic development and paranormal investigating at local colleges, lectures across the country and is a regular media commentator and has been spotlighted on Coast to Coast, Darkness Radio, ABC News, Fox News and the Ricki Lake Show. She is the author of Forevermore: Guided in Spirit by Edgar Allan Poe; Messenger Between Worlds: True Stories from a Psychic Medium; Higher Intuitions Oracle; Ghosts of Southeast Michigan; and Michigan's Haunted Legends and Lore. This really speaks to me . This writer writes from the heart and has wonderful techniques to help you realize spiritual experiences vs you are losing your mind . Her down to earth non woo woo explanations is what Kristy brings to the table. Growing up in a family where she had to hide her abilities from her family and yet has become someone who has helped so many with them is ironic . She never feels sorry for herself in all the trauma that seeing these things does to a person .
Kristy Robinett shares her story of growing up with special abilities. The stories of her childhood experiences of feeling different and often alienated from her peers and family members were heart wrenching at times, but, sadly, seem to be the norm for those with such abilities.
As a believer in the afterlife as another, different realm of reality where life continues, I also believe that there are people who are more sensitive to those who have passed on but who may linger close to the living. Robinett's connection as a "messenger between worlds" seems clear to me in reading her story. I appreciate her candid honesty about what it is like to live with such a gift.
I got the opportunity to meet Kristy this past August at the Michigan Paranormal Convention. She was kind and friendly enough to take a few minutes to chat with me about the importance of mental health and self-care. This meant a lot to me considering what I do for a living. I finally got the chance to finish Messenger Between Worlds. Even with just getting the chance to chat for a few minutes, it helped me identify the genuine personality of Kristy throughout her book and throughout the success/challenges within her life. Currently within the mental health field, the cool and awesome thing to be is an empath. It seems like many people believe they are an empath or gifted in some particular way. Even though I have been connected to the world of the paranormal my whole life and strongly believe in many forms of energy/emphatic abilities, I applaud Kristy for providing a very real personal journey/experience in relation to trying to understand what these gifts, abilities, and skills are. People want to make it seem like it is all positive and fun and games, but Kristy helped me understand that it potentially can bring on dark, depression-filled, and doubtful/questioning moments. More importantly, she helped me understand that is alright. Self-identity and worth are so important; along with trust in yourself and others. I highly recommend this book and enjoyed the read!
Read a few novels similar to this one, but like the others, it gave me hope and helped me as a author and psychic reader. I agree with her, feeling as if we there are no coincidences. My Mom had a similar story as hers, being punished for knowing things about the future. I felt for the author and her story. Can relate.
Fast read memoir of a woman who believes she sees and talks to dead people. Great if she does, but what matters is that she believes she does. Mostly a motivational book.
Renowned psychic medium, Kristy Robinett, soon to be released latest book, Messenger between the Worlds: True Stories from a Psychic Medium, is a memoir of her life and the strength and courage for her to recognize the gift she had been given. Unlike others, she shares her gift to help others and wants all to understand their own special gifts whatever they may be.
Her book not only explains the stories of her life and acceptance, but it gives readers an incite into their own lives. Her struggle is universal and one that all of us face in life.
From the age of 3 Kristy's gift as a psychic manifested itself. Her true stories will touch you.
A book you can't put down, Kristy gives everyone inspiration to believe in your own gift even if others criticize, and she encourages everyone to embrace whatever their uniqueness is.
This amazing memoir brings all the emotion, conflict, and openness that is rarely found in memoirs of this type.
In addition to giving readings and teaching workshops, she uses her psychic skills to assist with police investigations which she includes in this book.
She lectures across the country and has appeared on Fox News, ABC News, and Coast to Coast. She is also the author of Ghosts of Southeast Michigan and Michigan’s Haunted Legends and Lore.

*I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.*
What struck me most about this novel is that it was like sitting down and hearing a friend tell their (albeit painful) life story. I was able to connect emotionally with the author, especially as she was growing up and becoming a mom. So, on a personal level, she was able to connect with me as a reader.
I requested this novel because of the paranormal aspect. Kristy's story was interesting, plausible, and really normal. I think we expect mediums or psychics to be different from everyday people, but Kristy really showed she was just like me in a lot of ways.
Overall, this isn't a book I would normally read, but I was glad to have the chance. I think people will connect and identify with this author and will enjoy the book wholly.
As I began to read this book I saw different things that compared to my life. The longer I kept reading the more I could relate to in one way or another. As I was getting near the end, which I didn't want it to, I came across a chapter that took my breath away. I'd recently lost a dear friend and the name of the person in this chapter was my friends name. I started to tear up but knew my friend wouldn't want me to grieve so I held back the tears. As I finished this chapter, I felt a pressure release from my heart. I knew it was a message from my friend letting me know she was around and was okay. I LOVED this book!
I LOVED this book! It is very well written. She takes you through her life and what it's been like for her with her gift. You might think how great it would be, but she writes honestly about her struggles with her gift and her life and how she's triumphed. She makes her story relevant to everyone and provides examples of visitations and clients with various messages that everyone can relate to. It was fascinating and I'd love to read more-so I'm ready for another book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a memoir of the author accepting her psychic/medium abilities. She comes across very honest and doesn't sugar coat her often painful story. It felt like sitting and taliking with an old friend. I have met the author and heard her speak so does that cloud my judgment? Maybe...
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was fun to read but doesn't come across as overly sugary or unbelievable. The author seems like a kind hearted person who truly wishes to help others along their life paths.
It was a easy to read book. I loved how she gave me a better understanding of what and where eternity/heaven really is. I would recommend it to others but I do feel it was pricey.
What a comforting book. Not only does it contain interesting anecdotes about spirits she's interacted with, the story of her personal life contains a great deal if inspiration.
