When I first got my beloved food dehydrator, the first thing I did (before even opening the box) was go on Pinterest and look up every recipe for dried foods and jerky I could find. I was SO EXCITED. I made dehydrated sweet potatoes for dog treats, dehydrated carrots for my chinchilla, and pounds and pounds of beef jerky.

And in looking, I found so many tips for dehydrating things that didn't make any sense. Why would you dehydrate tomatoes? Why would you dehydrate eggs?!

This book not only tells you how to dehydrate almost anything (except eggs, thank you), but it also tells you why to dehydrate them, what to do with them, and later, recipes you can make with the dehydrated food.

Not everything in here is for me, but I will be buying this book.
