‎صد شُکر که <سگ سنّی> و <خر شیعه> نیَّم

‎منعِ واعظ زِ خرافات، زِ غوغایِ عوام
‎نتوانیم، ولیکن به دل انکار کنیم

‎جامی، زِ بُتان گر لقبت کافری آید
‎بِه زِ آنکه بگویند مسلمان و تو باشی

‎شیخِ خودبین که به اسلام برآمد نامش
‎نیست جز زرق و ریا قاعدهٔ اسلامش
‎خویش را واقفِ اسرار شناسد، لیکن
‎نه زِ آغاز وقوف است، نه از انجامش

‎به کویِ زاهدی آسودگی مجو جامی
‎قدم برون نه از این کوی، تا بیاسایی

‎فغان زِ ابلهیِ این خرانِ بی دُم و گوش
‎که جمله شیخ تراش آمدند و شیخ فروش
‎شوند هر دو سه روزی مُریدِ نادانی
‎تهی زِ دین و خرد، خالی از بصیرت و هوش

‎از عشق سخن مرتبه ای بَس بلند است
‎واعظ نبُود لایقِ این پایهٔ عالی

‎به راه خود مخوان زاهد، ما را
‎که ما هم مذهبی داریم و دینی

‎در مسجد و خانقه بسی گردیدم
‎بَس شیخ و مُرید را که پا بوسیدم
‎نِی یک ساعت زِ هستیِ خود رَستم
‎نی آنکه زِ خویش رَسته باشد دیدم

‎از دعوی و کارنامه بگرفت دلم
‎وز گفت و شنودِ عامه بگرفت دلم
‎ای شاهِ قلندران، خدا را نظری
‎کَز ”ریش” و ”فش” و ” عمامه” بگرفت دلم

‎عمامه مرا دردِ سر میدهد
‎به هر حیله آنرا زِ سر وا کنم

‎می فروشی هرچه هست، از خودفروشی بهتر است
‎چند عیبِ میفروشان میکنی، ای خودفروش؟

‎مخور جامی فریبِ سبحه خوانان
‎که دامی هست، هرجا دانه ای هست

‎واعظ خَر است و انجمنِ وعظ، خرگَله
‎گر خر رود به خرگَله، نتوان زِ خر گِله
‎آسودگی مجوی زِ واعظ، که خلق را
‎جز دردسر نمیدهد از بانگ و مشغله
‎روشن نشد زِ پرتو گفتارِ او دلی
‎کی کِرمِ شبچراغ کند کارِ مشعله؟
