Relying on his engineering skills, Max Axiom helps his nephew and his friends to design a better skateboard. The youngsters want a board that carves tighter, catches more air, and turns tighter and quicker. After making modifications and trying out his ideas, Max goes make to the drawing board and makes even more plans. The graphic novel depiction of Max's inventions makes the engineering plans easy to see and understand--plus this is practical science.
