Struggling artist Kelly Saunders lives a dystopian life at a corporate job she hates. Her perverted boss thrills in torturing her simply because she finds him physically repulsive, her coworkers have shunned her because of her luscious curves and bodacious rack, and she can't quit or she'll lose her apartment. Will a chance — and extremely hot — encounter with a sexy biker at a gas station spell freedom or trouble?
WATCH OUT! This sexy, 7,000-word story depicts erotic situations between a beautiful plus-sized woman and a hot biker with a secret, graphic language, public stranger sex, anal play and a job from the second circle of hell.
Marina Maddix is a romantic at heart, but hates closing the bedroom door on her readers. Her stories are sweet, with just enough spice to make your mother blush. She lives with her husband, cats and chickens near the Rocky Mountains, and loves to hear from her fans.
Meh....free read. Nothing particularly exciting, although I did like that the heroine was comfortable in her own skin. However, the constant references to the aforementioned skin (I get you like your curves, now move on!!!) were overkill. Just wasn't enough here to make me want to buy the sequel.
I thought for a short story, the author did an excellent job at showing us who Kelly was and why she was desperate to escape her life - if only for a quick vacation in Vegas with a total stranger.
Ms. Maddix did a fantastic job of describing the hero Rick and the instant connection between him and Kelly. The description of Kelly's unhappy life and her explosive intimate moment with Rick was done in a way that made it believable that not only would she have sex with a complete stranger, but she'd be more than willing to escape her current life for the promise of a fun (and sex) filled couple of weeks with Rick.
My only issue with this short story was the unprotected sex with a stranger. It took me out of the moment because while I could see someone having a quickie with a person they just met, I couldn't see them having unprotected sex.
As a BBW myself I really identified with the heroine. I'm a bit of a curvy Amazon and it's hard being a stacked size 10 or 12 in a world of size twos. I've had guys' eyes bug out and the girls glare and it's nice to read a story that celebrates women like me as well as see her get the guy for once.
The hero is smoking hot and a total enigma on a growling motorcycle...which YUM! There's a tinge of stranger sex to this story, but it was well done. I was in the moment with the heroine and completely agreed with all her decisions.
I can't wait to see what happens in Vegas and if it stays there.
Pretty good short story about Kelly, an artist that works a horrible job. She meets a biker named Rick and after a hot encounter he invites her to come to Vegas with him for 2 weeks. I really liked the story but it ends at them leaving for Vegas together and the story continues in Vegas Knights. I enjoyed Knight Fall enough that I did go and buy Vegas Knights so I could finish their story. :D
I loved it! Usually I'm almost anal about reading things on order but this actually worked out fine. I read Vegas Knights first, not knowing about Knight Fall. They are both extremely good! I absolutely love the characters, Kelly is incredible and this is a fascinating intro to Rick.
I really liked this short story and I am looking forward to reading the follow up book vegas knights soon ... :) I am glad I read this it was short but funny and cute all the same .. :)
This is very short spicy read. It basically starts off things with these characters because there is a second book. I must say I enjoyed the time spent reading. Great read.
