Action, adventure, horses, and the thrill of a scare here and there . . . Dorsey and Miller deliver a wonderful page turner for middle grade readers and/or their families.

What I loved most about this story - and all Angela Dorsey stories, actually - is how, fast-paced and action-packed as they are, they always speak to deeper issues and have themes that resonate with readers of all ages, whether they take the time to articulate them or not. In this case, what constitutes friendship, what makes an "enemy" or rival, and the responsibility you have to the people you live with, even while you're trying to grow into yourself as an individual.

If you enjoy Sun Chaser, check out Sun Catcher that came before it and Sun Seeker that comes after it. Each novel stands alone though, so no worries about which order you read them. :)
